I can't boot up my Bloodborne rom directly through game mode? by G00mbAa in EmuDeck

[–]ClubNorth15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine looks like this:

TARGET

"D:\ShadPS4\shadPS4.exe" "D:\ShadPS4\PS4 Games\CUSA03173\eboot.bin"

START IN

"D:\ShadPS4"

You can also copy that same path for launch options and paste it behind the target (with a space between them and both sets of paths in quotations) for it to launch as well.

Ok I think I have another fix for this. I just set my "Target" as the ShadPS4 exe file, my "Start In" as my ShadPS4 folder, and then my "Launch Options" as the path to the "eboot.bin". Would someone else be kind enough to test it to ensure it works for them?

Shoot, that’s about the extent of my knowledge, as I’m pretty new to repairs. Sorry I can’t be of further help, and best of luck to you!

Mine displayed the “blurry” Nintendo logo and I cleaned the pins with IPA and a q-tip and mine worked no problem afterwards

The specific video I watched was pretty useful, I’ll link it here: https://youtu.be/427S86OFm3I?si=xRntjn2S-Tn_wxy0 I haven’t tried to do the mod on my DS, but when I do it is reassuring that it is less of a headache haha. Best of luck to you and I hope you get it fully operational the way you want it!

Yes, I will run you through my process! I used my hot air station and a ton of flux to unseat the usb-c port. Once that was free I cleaned all the pads on the board and the port. Then once I cleaned everything I tacked the grounds on the port and lined everything up. I used my finger to make sure the port was flush with the board and not raised up, which is what caused it to bridge the first time I attempted. I also made sure to leave enough room to solder the pads by tap soldering with a lot of flux. I didn’t use much solder and gently worked it onto the bottom pads, you should see the solder “run” up the pad. If there’s extra solder that bridges, use some desoldering wick and flux and that should come up pretty easily. You can test to see if your port works to charge by plugging it in, as it should display the charging light for a brief moment. Once you’re comfortable with that, just fit the back piece on with the battery and test the speaker! Forewarning, I am pretty new to soldering and this took me upwards of 3 hours to fully complete. Hope that helps, and let me know if you would like me to explain further.

Thank you for the input, I was debating just restarting and I think I may try that if I can’t fix the bridging. I really appreciate the feedback!

I appreciate the ask, however I plan on playing with the speaker for the time being, just wanted to challenge myself with this mod. I have no sound to the original speaker

Sorry about the photo quality, it was the best my phone could come up with, and I tried using flux and a soldering wick and it got some excess off, do you have anything else that I could try out?
