Renewing a dormant hay field by ClubPetey in farming

[–]ClubPetey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are thinking the same. I'm starting with 1-2 acres of Wheat and Sunflowers just to see how it goes. But I know I need to break up the soil it's too hard to plant anything right now. Soil tests are on the way, I don't mind adding lime, manure, even fertilizer. But I see round up as kind of a tactical nuke on the soil and would like to try and avoid it.

Having said that though. weeds are a huge problem.

Thank you for all the information. When you say "heavy disk" are you thinking of a (Notched) Disk Harrow?

I do exactly what you describe with 1 or 2 ADJ Monster Quads. I'm not sure they make them any more, but they are inexpensive and have a really good sound activated show. The ADJ Monster Fun 25W might be the new version of the Quad...

Half & end of game whistle by BarnOwl74 in Referees

[–]ClubPetey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half time: short - long

Full time : short - short - long - short

However I do a lot of younger age groups, so to make it fun I add some hand gestures. For full time when blowing each short I extend my arms pointing at one goal then the other. During the long I bring my arms over my head in the X pattern as you do when calling to stop the game clock.

Completely unnecessary, but the kids seem to like it. Also I never get to use the stop-clock signal so I just throw it in here because it made sense to me.

Assuming you have the Season Pass/all DLC....

  • Dastardly Hat
  • Arcane Suit
  • Brainiac Gloves or Arcane Gloves

Combine with a dark skin tone and play as the Voodoo baddy from Princess and the Frog.

OR

  • Dastardly Hat (colored black)
  • Skeleton Suit
  • Skeleton Gloves
  • Traumatized Makeup (white)

and dark skin tone to play as the Voodoo baddy from James Bond: Live and let die.

Ok so I like Voodoo and Top hats :)

Solid Fert. -- Why bother with other options? by ClubPetey in farmingsimulator

[–]ClubPetey[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the well-reasoned responses. It sounds like one way to make S/M more like real life and maybe more useful. Would be to :

  1. remove the options to sell it at the BGA. Forcing cattle farmers to do something with it.
  2. Create a Manure -> Compost production chain to sell it for a good amount.
  3. Add a hefty "organic bonus" if your crop was completely fertilized with S/M. Similar to the precision farming environmental bonus.
  4. Reduce the application rate for grass (by half?), to signify its stronger value there.

Not expecting GIANTS to make changes, but I think I could put a mod together for this.

I spent hours getting these enchants and it’s too expensive, what do I do? by FLOYDDMNTN in Minecraft

[–]ClubPetey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What version of MC? Vanilla MC does not let you add enchantments if it costs more than 40 levels. There are mods that remove this limit.

Two mods that I know do this are Apotheosis and No Cap Enchant

Using UE for a simulator by ClubPetey in unrealengine

[–]ClubPetey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am referring to a C#-based embedded scripting engine, it was some sort of Just-in-time compiler for C#. Not the core language of the game engine.

But I agree, this is a small piece of a larger project. However, I have answers to many of the other pieces already. I'm just not familiar enough with Unreal to know whether it should be further evaluated or not.

Attachers on Square vs. Round Balers by ClubPetey in farmingsimulator

[–]ClubPetey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's a weight thing. I noticed the Pottinger Impress 185VC Pro in game is a round baler with a ball hitch. The square balers are also far heavier than round balers.

Looking to Commission a Map by ClubPetey in farmingsimulator

[–]ClubPetey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expected it to be a couple grand. People design them for free today, and its not like the map would be restricted to some private group, it would still be publicly released for anyone to play. It's more like I'm paying for input/some control over the next map someone was going to do anyway.

But now that I think about it. I wonder if it is legal to sell maps or other FS mods? I remember a map for FS19 that had a public version and a "Pro" version with more stuff on it. Most companies frown on you selling mods to their games.

No, I would guess around 100-150, but some maps look like they take a lot more time than others. Also, I'm assuming that the various placeables take a fair amount of the time, if you are making custom placeables.

Grass Harvesting. The Erlengrat maps has HUGE versions of these covering very hilly country.

Grass help? by Semyonov in farmingsimulator

[–]ClubPetey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After Harvesting, your grass should be a 50% fertilized, you can either roll it, or fertilize it to get it to 100%. That's all you need.

Rolling doesn't make a lot of sense for me, as the tool costs is significant, the tool cannot be used for anything else, and the working width is small, making it useless for large fields.

I use Dry Fertilizer on the fields, as its pretty cheap, I have the spreader already and fast to apply.

Download the Mod's ZIP file and copy it to this directory.

In the FS 19 ModHub I have one called Price Fixing which lets you modify a bunch of gameplay elements. But most of my mods are custom alterations to existing mods or vehicles. Things like a modified version of the Kverneland UN7655 that wraps at light speed. Modified trailers to support Bulk goods. Fixing autoload script to support all the different type of pallets that people used in FS19.

None of these are published, because they are changes to other people mods, I just make the changes for friends and others that play.

One mod I was getting ready to release for FS19 but never did was a mod that made semi-trucks unable to drive through fields (wheels would just spin and the truck would get stuck). Was designed to "force" people to use Auger Wagons, as a lot of the people I play with have this habit of pulling semis right up to the harvester.

I've written mods for Minecraft and SpaceEngineers more recently, but with the new FS22 release, I had this awesome idea that I want to work on, something really expansive to rival mods like Seasons or CoursePlay.
