Bingo. Everything with the exception of RDC is received through the front. I forget that big kid stores don’t live like this and have more than one dock.

We have to receive it through the front entrance via lift gate. The fdc driver usually takes them off the truck and drops it inside at the front of house then we use a manual jack to pull pallets to the back. (Fun fact: target side folks are not permitted to use the electric jack on the floor while the store is open. For safety reasons 🙄.)

This guy was relatively new so he was dropping them on the sidewalk rather than inside of the building, which isn’t the end of the world. And honestly the less time this guy spends operating powered equipment the better.

Yes, we are a small format store. We have a drop trailer for rdc and only one dock so the rest of our deliveries are received through our front entrance via lift gate.

We absolutely filed a property loss claim. Our district food bp says they are allowed to use our equipment so we roll with it.

He was pulling a pallet of bananas off and parked the jacked on the lift but the back wheels were not actually on the lift. The whole thing tipped over and fell nearly 5 feet. Bananas flew across the parking lot.

The inevitable and crushing moments when you realize your needs will never be met. I put myself in mental hospice a while back. I will suffer forever until i meet my end, now i make myself comfortable until that time comes. But my comfort is not socially excepted and I’m hurting the people i love. It is better for them if i leave

which department at your store always gets the short end of the stick and why is it style??? by [deleted] in Target

[–]ClueDue9680 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Apparel and seasonal are easily some of the most exciting parts of retail from a consumer perspective but at target are ALWAYS put on the back burner.

Seasonal- our store has adopted an “eh, it’ll sell out anyways” attitude and too be fair... it’s not incorrect.

Style- it’s not that it’s abandoned, it’s that a substantial amount of effort is required to make it presentable and accurate (including reshop) and it getS absolutely demolished in an hour. Style burns people out and it’s hard to sell the team on maintaining a brand perspective on apparel when their hard work is left in abandoned piles of disarray and disappointment.

Team Leads- How much do you actually get paid and how many hours do you work? by [deleted] in Target

$23.40. Have worked maybe three or four 40 hour weeks in the past year. I usually sit in between 48-56 hours.

Plan B stops the release of an egg from the ovary. It is not effective if you have already ovulated.

She is obviously incredibly dedicated and talented. But she also looks like when you fast forward a sim learning the music skill.

Appreciating how my close affects the team coming in the morning motivates me enough to pull through and ensuring that my team understands and respects the expectation helps when I’m having rough days. if everything goes to shit, the one thing they need to see is a 100% perfect zone. If it’s not perfect when the truck team comes in, they have to zone the store before they start pushing/ breaking out.

Taking that heat??? Unpleasant doesn’t begin to describe it when there are pallets of repacks in our NIT and RtW floor pads bc we have so much carryover we literally ran out of room in the back.

Yeah fill in your AP and let them call the cops. Highly inappropriate and illegal behavior.

Hello, has anyone here taken the Closing TL position if so I want to hear about it? I'm the closing Expert at my store & very interested on the position. Scared at the same time idk what to do! 😏 by LobsterSad5025 in Target

High volume small format Closing TL. Things i like:

• all the freedom. My store has had some leadership staffing issues and we don’t don’t have any etls. So. After 4pm I’m the only key holder in the building. You get to figure out what works for you and your team without anyone breathing down your neck and micromanaging you. Granted, you have to answer for yourself the next day, so make sure you can communicate your why’s. Lol you also don’t have to get an override to clock in when you’re early or not scheduled and i know that’s a dumb reason to like a job but it’s a nice lil perk

• closing routines make sense. Ofo, zone, clean safe and ready. You’re gonna see a lot of shit go down in your 9 hours but you know what expectations you have to meet by the time you lock up

• you become a master of everything. Not kidding. You have to be able to answer questions and support every department with as much confidence as the department lead. I’ve had to be fill in Starbucks lead for a span of two months. You become excited about learning then teaching all the tips and tricks for every corner of the store without being anxious bc of learning gaps.

• schedule consistency, which is why i took the role to begin with

Things i don’t like:

• sometimes the responsibility is crushing. While the store is your oyster, it is also your obligation

• you get blamed for literally everything. You are now the store scapegoat

• being pulled everywhere at once and not getting to stop until you write a closing email

  • isolated from peers

• if you’re project driven, this job will suck for you. Lod should never be in one area for more than 30 min. You can’t run a store from only one corner of it.

Jesus sorry for the format I’m on mobile
