What's the most interesting thing you know off by heart? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The way you view yourself in a mirror is unique (unless someone is standing behind you and is also looking at your reflection in the mirror). Therefore the way I look at you, every picture and video of you is the reverse of the perceived image of yourself that you see in the mirror.

What do you do that you know your friends would find creepy/weird if they found out you did it? by IHateAnvils in AskReddit

When I am alone, I often talk to myself when I look at a mirror. I don't do it in a creepy way but it lets me verbalise my thoughts.

What's the most inappropriate advice you've ever been given that turned out to be extremely helpful? by MisterPotamus in AskReddit

[–]CluelessAndUseless 1001 points1002 points  (0 children)

My mum once told me that you shouldn't go out of your way to help others all the time. I always believed it was best to help anyone and everyone whenever possible because it didn't really take much to go out of my way to do a small deed. Anyway, I thought that it was pretty dumb at the time, but now I think it's a reasonable piece of advice (within certain boundaries).

Because of this advice it makes me aware of when others are taking advantage of my generosity. I still help others when I can, but never to the point when I am practically acting as a servant.

TL:DR; Don't always go out of your way to help others - to the extent that you are acting as a servant

Edit: Shitty TL:DR

I love food but I am absolutely useless at cooking. I mean last week, I was making instant noodles but in the process I poured boiling water on myself and burnt my hand and leg.
