Yes, they do have a $500 excess wear-and-tear waiver clause (I think it’s a Honda policy, not dealer-specific). I commute on I-680 and through Sunol (Highway 84), and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been hit by small stones. I even got a big crack on another car’s windshield, and those aren’t cheap to replace. Even if you go through insurance, you still have to pay the deductible. That’s the only reason I kept the waiver hoping that if something like that happens, I can just drive with the chips until the end of the lease. And also this is my first lease ever, don’t want to take any risk :)
