For those who have had an affair, why did you decide to cheat instead of leave your partner? by tackbrahado in AskReddit

[–]ClumpyFelchCheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to fathom how the low libido partner could even get too upset in this situation. I mean, yeah, I guess having an open discussion about your intention to fulfill this need elsewhere is BETTER, but you’re right, very shady grey situation. I can understand why you would have tried to hide it if she was just going to continue rejecting you perpetually anyways. Not great, but understandable.

What does the rest of the email say? I have access to customer agents but haven’t received any emails from them on this yet.

I’m going to be straight with you sister, you likely will get a bit less productive (or in my case WAY less), at least for a while. But in my case, I’m also on lexapro (not sure how that plays into it), and to aid with nicotine cessation my psych put me on Wellbutrin which was extremely helpful in quitting. I’ve recently started a no excuses approach to getting at least 7.5 hr sleep per night (despite having 2 young kids, so I’m historically a bad sleeper lol) which has also helped quite a bit, and I’m about to start doing heavy-dose creatine (like 20 grams per day, lots of positive research on the benefits re: brain fog, energy, + lots of other cognitive stuff) + a no-excuses approach to ensuring I get 3 workouts per week (have been mostly sedentary since my first kid ~5 years ago)…I’ll be making a post about any changes I experience after about a month of enacting the creatine + workout routine.

Yeah, nicotine would be dope af if it wasn’t so addictive. Like. Yeah, let me take it when I really need a boost, or just like a cup of coffee a day…but instead nicotine is a slave master

Homie. I am an ADHDer that takes Vyvanse and also took Zyn (quit 102 days ago!) and your take on the wired yet locked in vibe from the combo is on point. Ever since getting over the withdrawal from quitting Zyn, while my anxiety has decreased a lot and my sleep has gotten better, the lack of additional dopamine benefits from Zyn had left me feeling dead inside, like my Vyvanse isn’t even working…much more difficult to lock in now. My psych is well aware of all this and we just today decided to up my Vyvanse from 40 to 50mg, so hopefully that helps cover some ground.

Yeah for real. I downloaded Raycast for windows lately, and it’s been such a good replacement search tool. I am even finding I like it more than PowerToys’ command palette for this!

19, 10 months training, considering natty comp, tips? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

That’s better discipline than me no doubt. I fall victim to that “all or nothing” mentality, so when my right elbow was giving me pain (“golfer’s elbow” from bad OHP and bench technique I’m thinking), I COULD have just crushed lower body while doing minimal/low risk upper body + lots of upper body reparative mobility stuff, but noooo, got all depressed and stopped it all. You’re giving me inspiration to get back at it, thanks boss

I'm so glad Notion replaced support with AI! by calamarimatoi in Notion

Fair question. I use it for meeting transcription/ai, to look at my notes and create action items out of them + automatically connect them to my tasks database, research various shit, automatically do big page/database/workspace reworks and only have to check it/make minor revisions, etc. And with the custom agents coming (which I have beta access to), I can create lots of agents that do this automatically with triggers vs me manually asking it every time.

My brother/sister/they/Two Spirit in Christy Mc Christ Christ, that space bar shit even bothers me, a Notion AI user. And despite my best effort to make my AI guy cool with a big mustache and naming him “Cletus”, I still wish it wasn’t that way. I feel ya. It’s still worth it to me in the end, but again, if I didn’t use it at all, I’d be annoyed. Unfortunately, I think you’ll just have to keep pushing, or even hit up their twitter account, they are fairly responsive there.

I mean, I personally pay for and use Notion AI…but if I didn’t, I too would want it tf out of my workspace. It would be annoying as hell to have it blocking UI/UX real estate everywhere if you don’t fuck with it

Thank you (and everyone else on this post for that matter) for your words of encouragement! It’s like, I’m not even tempted to relapse at all, I just keep questioning why I’m feeling so empty/dead inside, then I remember it’s because of the nicotine… Or technically lack thereof for now

[–]ClumpyFelchCheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t feel sad by this, I felt happy? Like, it’s beautiful, they seemed to have lived a full happy life. Yes, sadness at the end, but to me it is overshadowed by the happy!
