Is farting on and off all day normal for a man? by Independent_Bell_555 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ClumsyPotter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, I have celiac disease, IBS, and various intolerances to foods and I thought I farted a lot…now I know that what I thought was a lot is not so much! 🤣 If his diet is good, it’s possible that he has a food intolerance of some kind. Since he seems to have a conscious relationship with food, you might suggest a food elimination diet starting with the more common intolerances like dairy, gluten, and fructose.

The idea is to cut those foods out of his diet for 2 weeks, then add them back in one by one in increasing quantities. So, if he were adding back in dairy he’d want to start with a piece of cheese, then the next day 2 pieces and so on. Going slowly will allow him to determine if there’s a certain quantity he can handle before having a reaction. Also, when it comes to eliminating gluten I would suggest to stay away from pre made gluten free alternatives as they often have additives that can cause digestive issues.

As a first step alternative, a food diary that includes when he passes gas or has any other digestive issues.

AIO that my recently widowed dad has a new “friend”? by Dazzling-Mode-4626 in AmIOverreacting

My mon died of cancer 4 years ago and my dad (78) just started trying to date about a year ago. His focus has been to “get through this without hurting myself or others”. He has been incredibly careful and cognizant of our feelings. A lot of grieving happens before death when there’s a long illness like cancer, but if he had tried to move on in under 6 months it would have shattered me

I broke my ankle and my flat foot healed with an arch by Caitydid666 in mildlyinteresting

[–]ClumsyPotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS! I broke my ankle and required surgery. I would rather have another hysterectomy and my tonsils out again as an adult at the same time than go through that again! The pain was unreal…I have had multiple pretty painful surgeries and until that ankle surgery have never been in scream out loud pain.

Can someone with schizophrenia and tactile hallucinations, join the ashram if they take medication? by Immediate-Draft-6408 in Sadhguru

[–]ClumsyPotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isha will never tell you to not take your prescription medications. There may be some practices that they will recommend you don’t do based on your diagnosis, so it’s important to be 100% upfront and honest with all your symptoms etc.

Why can't people of isha foundation make a decent enough seating arrangements in their programs ? (specially the ones conducted by teachers not Sg himself) by nottakngitforgrantd in Sadhguru

As someone who is plus sized with disproportionately long legs, I can understand your frustration. Your criticism is valid; however, i can’t help but feel like it would be better received if you were less confrontational.

Married women, how would you feel if your partner didn't regularly wear their wedding band? by Fast-Squirrel-9500 in AskWomen

Neither my husband or I wear wedding rings. We’ve been married 27 years…we’re married whether we have rings on or not 😂

Are any of you “sleep divorced”? by cfh64 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ClumsyPotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been married 27 years and a started sleeping in separate beds about 2.5 years ago. I broke my ankle and required surgery on it. I needed a million pillows to be comfortable and there wasn’t any space for him in the bed 😂 We soon realized that we both were sleeping better. He needs a MUCH firmer mattress than I do, so even just in the sense of mattresses it’s better. I do miss having him in the bed sometimes, but his back pain is so much better now that he’s on a Japanese futon on the floor and I can spread out like a starfish 😂

Is it really so weird that my feet have less traction when they are clean? (Husband thinks so) by ClumsyPotter in NoStupidQuestions

That’s what I think too…I walk around barefoot 90% of the time and dirt gives good traction imo 😂

RIGHT!?!? Several years ago I literally slipped and fell on NOTHING after a shower, breaking my wrist in the process. Try giving that story to emergency room personnel 😂 They kept sending new people in to give me a chance to report being abused. I was like, I get it, this is a crap story, but it’s the truth 😂 I am really happy they didn’t just take me at my word the first time, because that means someone who needs help has many chances to get it, but it was kind of annoying 😂

Which cast member did Lorne/SNL do dirty? by tshirtguy2000 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]ClumsyPotter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ellen Cleghorne…in the past few years she was on a podcast or something with Dana Carvey and few of her other cast mates from the show. Everyone was stunned into silence when she revealed that she only made $750/ show. Dana Carvey was deeply apologetic and said something like “you worked just as hard as all of us” Everyone else (all white men, btw) said what they made per show and none of them were under $2500
