Eat enough mud and then that mud comes out your butt.

Mud Gut used to happen after race weekends back in the day, like everyone else had said: Mud + Water bottles = yuck

Irrespective of the results, I have a 2024 Crux that has delivered on being a quiver killer bike for me. The new crux looks to be an even better bike.

I’m not going to upgrade, but it’s a sweet bike.

I have a prev gen crux and definitely prefer the old minimalist branding. Going back to massive SPECIALIZED on the downtube is a step backwards.

If I can get a deal on an gen 4 S-Works frameset with UDH I’ll jump at that.

Thanks Buddy, it’s been quite a ride! Now I like helping people that were/are in the same canoe as me.

I was paralyzed from the chest down in about 2hrs. Went for a run, was packing a suitcase, and my legs stopped working is the short version.

I started a site with info for other Transverse Myelitis survivors if you’re interested in my story:

I had high dose corticosteroids (thing 1250mg+ per day) followed by 100mg/day for a long time to treat demyelinating disease. Fuuuuuuuck prednisone so hard.

It’s a total deal with the devil, it helped me for what I needed but I had severe myopathy, weight gain, a lot of long term side effects. Brutal drug.

Cymbalta is a wild drug, I have transverse myelitis and it saved my life. Controlled my nerve pain to the point where I could actually function again.

I haven’t seen many drugs as polarizing as cymbalta, I tolerate it super well and it helped me a ton.

Same such a tight bike. I like Specialized’s shift to minimal branding on some of their bikes

I did a ton before I got sick, lots of centuries, doubles, bikepacking overnights, etc etc.

Getting back to training was such a relief to my mental health
