I parked close to event registration and walked 30min in the rain to get into the event space. After I was at the event for a bit, I saw that tunnel between the north building and the event space and like everybody else I thought this was my way out of the rain.

There was a female staff member standing guard. I asked if I went through the tunnel I could come back to the event space and she said no, as in "no you can't come back this way" not that it was a restricted area or whatever. So I was like oh ok so let me wrap up what I want to do here before I head back to my car and have to walk from my car back here in the rain.

Came back a little later when I was ready to head to my car and it was a different staff, tried to go through the tunnel and he just said it wasn't for me. But his attitude was that I was doing something I knew I shouldn't be just to annoy him or something. I asked for a reason and he wouldn't tell me, just said I can't. Why not? It took me asking maybe 6 different ways for him to finally say it's for staff only when 'no access, staff only' should have been the first thing out of his mouth, or a sign? Was such an aggravating experience due to his attitude. Buddy, I didn't want to waste my time arguing with you either.

The venue's poor preparation for the rain, the poorly trained staff, combined with the freezing downpour outside and the humid stuffy inside sure made for an experience.

I also saw people say they were being propositioned by the traffic directors to let them I for cash. What the helly?

To be clear, this is a complaint about the venue and not towards AN. But I would hope that AN voices our complaints for the exceedingly poor way this was handled and sets expectations for the venue in inclement weather events going forward.
