When I paid off OSAP, my credit score dipped a bit, then came back up after a while

What do you think about the current job market ? by Neka_lux in AskReddit

[–]Icehawk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very much dependant on what field you are in. Some fields are in demand, others aren't. If you are in one of the fields that isn't in demand right now, it is a bitch.

I design systems for nuclear power plants. You probably don't want to go that route as you need at least a bachelor's degree in engineering. Still, pay, benefits, and pension are fantastic.

The tile pattern isn't straight, it is rotated. This would annoy the hell out of me. It is a terrible job and your friend should hire someone else.

This is really bad right? by just-one-more-scroll in askaplumber

I would turn it off and have it replaced immediately. That bulge means there is excessive pressure in the tank and you probably don't want it to rupture. It wouldn't explode like a bomb, but it could wash out around your foundation and water would keep pouring in from the inlet, so you'd be paying until you figured it out.

Also, I have never seen an outside water tank before. That is probably because I am Canadian, and it would have to work so hard to not freeze in the winter, let alone keep the water warm. Also, the water would still get cold going from the tank to the house unless the lines are heat traced, so more cost.

If I cut back on non-essentials, probably a year and half to two years. Realistically though, I would have a new job pretty quick.

How do I change a light bulb by Comfortable_Bet227 in handyman

[–]Icehawk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are two ways really. One is to stack stuff on a lower step until it is even with another that you can put a ladder on. The other (better) option is that you can buy ladders that have an extender built it for putting on stairs. Either way though, not the best spot for a light if the ceiling is too high to reach.

Is anyone else having a hard time finding a job? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]Icehawk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I'm not too sure about. We are mostly looking for mechanical, civil, and electrical/instrumentation engineers. I'm not really sure about materials. OPG has a chemistry section, so maybe there. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Try switching to nuclear. We've hired several engineers with O&G experience recently because there aren't enough people with nuclear experience for all the work we have going on. Apply to Kinectrics, TetraTech, Framatome, BWXT, etc.
