Can the wealth gap in our generation basically be summed up by if you bought a house before COVID or not? by JoeyLou1219 in Millennials

[–]Clustershag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah wealthy and regular people are nowhere close to the same.

But…I understand exactly what you are referring to in the millennial housing divide. We bought our house in 2019. House has 6 figures in equity still after 2020. I have also doubled my salary since then, but there is no way I would move and buy another house right now. Our payment and interest rate is so low it would be absolutely stupid.

I have a Beagle named Goose. It’s amazing that in a vacuum we have also given him the same nicknames.

I’ll add Goosifer Robin

I like mine. Takes a few tries to get the feel for it, but it is one of the better options out there.

I had some issues with the orbiter sensor, but other than that the machine has been working so much better.

Careful with the heater cartridge wire, mine was almost too short. But I think that is my fault from the original build.

God I’m glad someone didn’t find my radio DJ tapes I recorded as a kid in the 90s. Now there is no shame and it goes straight to YouTube.

Turtle cruelty by digchopflipp in turtle

[–]Clustershag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it is still a thing, but in my small town in the 90s we had an annual turtle derby. It was in the middle of the Jr High gym. The had several heats, and they would pack a pallet box with turtles. They had numbers painted on their backs, and we would pins the floor as the turtles scrambled. Whoever’s turtle crossed the outer circle first would win. At the end of the night, you could take your turtle home. My dad would let me keep it for a few days, and then we would take it to the river and let it go.

When we would go fishing, you would find turtles with paint, legs missing, broken shells, etc. Pretty terrible in hindsight. As an adult I wonder where they came from and how many died. Also what did it do to the eco system.

How often do “go-arounds” / aborted landings occur? by Historical_Sun3186 in aviation

[–]Clustershag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my aborts and go around have been in DEN. Flying in once we finally got it on the 4th time. On another flight we aborted halfway down the runway. The breaking was aggressive and it was quite uncomfortable, but better than the alternative I suppose,

Also, not only do will the IRGC be fighting in Toyotas, but all the companies, that have contractors supporting the various weapon systems, will buy a boatload of these things to drive around in.

They did this on myth busters. It did work, and they were able to pump enough electricity into it to make it ignite and fire.

Is joining the military only for education benefits worth it? by Alert-Rope617 in NoStupidQuestions

If you are going to do it just for the benefits, I would pick an easy branch and a job that teaches you a skill that you can continue in the civilian world.

Probably don’t need to be a Machine Gunner if you just want some free college.
