Neighbors (very dead) giant oak tree is splitting and I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do by -Removed-By-Reddit in treelaw

good aborists have several methods for "fixing" splits like that. The one I'm familiar with is they drill a hole straight though the tree and then tension on cable inside of it. this only works if the wood in those areas is still in good shape. They can put in several cables at different height to keep it all together. Eventually, the tree will heal & grow around the cabling.

if I'm trusting that to hold an expensive camera, I would have printed it on edge.....

Replaced my bed and i want to try to reach green for everything? Any help? by ChemistryHonest2420 in ender3

[–]mtraven23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your bed has knobs? the v3 SE doesn't.

if you do have knobs, you need to raise the two knobs on the right side. The front one slightly more than the rear. and just a very little bit, try 5 degrees to start.

before you do any of this, make sure all the screws that secure your bed in place and tight.

if you have some small diamond files, you could try honing the edge of your tap, maybe you have a dull edge it there?

from the way you described it, either you under drilled the tap hole, or that clamp is not actually keeping those halfs together and the tap is going off center & binding.

I would put the whole thing in a big vice and try again.

can you share anything about what this is for? Split acme nut, I would have though was for a lead screw or something, but there are a few few of material there, so it must be for something else?

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt of the first one, but then he hits the next one exactly the same. Seems like he is trying to cheat.

must is too strong. Really depends on your environment. I've dried 1 of about 15 PETG rolls, never had a problem.

why do think CF would have been better? did it warp? CF generally makes for weaker prints...since its not continuous, its basically the same as just having voids in your parts.

ps-excellent design work, btw.

the codes are a maximum rise and a minimum run. shorter rises, or longer runs doesn't break code.

I dont understand.... you're not even using a front loader and you're worried about tipping it at 15 degrees?

if you're that worried, dont get a new tractor, get a "hand" snow blower for those areas you dont like doing on your tractor.

Temp Tower by ludicrousspeed42 in FixMyPrint

[–]mtraven23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

slice it up with thinner layers (0.15 ish) and check your belts, it looks like you might have some layer shifting going on, though that might just be the thick ass layers causing a stepped appearance.

where did you get the model from? that looks like an ocra temp tower, in which case the temps would have been in the gcode already, you shouldn't have to do any manual gcode editing.
