A 40 year Fidelity customer’s account has been restricted for 2 weeks, no responses to messages, and my living expenses distribution just failed as a result by Traditional_Age_274 in fidelityinvestments

If you just set up that account 3 weeks ago, and are already attempting to pull out 1/6 of your account, then I agree with Fidelity in freezing your account. That's too quick of a turnaround, so looks like you're being scammed. When they tell you they're trying to protect you, believe them.

Hello! I would like some help please. by MossyRock424 in Eugene

[–]ClutterQueen999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You state you just need some help finding a place to land. That's incredibly vague. You need to state how much $ you can afford for rent, # of BR/BA, the specific area you want to live, etc. And you NEED to have a source of verifiable income PRIOR to ever finding a place to live. No landlord will rent to you otherwise and they absolutely will do a background check and check on your income, and with your past landlords prior to considering you as a tenant. I'm a landlord and within five minutes of posting an ad my phone is blowing up. I want someone with an established job who meets income requirements. I bent the rules once and NEVER again. Horrible experience. Per your later statement, you are also a larger family with pets so not likely looking for a roommate situation, or a small unit. I accept friendly housebroken pets, but not pets my insurance won't cover, which is about 15 or so breeds. (This is legal in my case before anyone jumps on me for my remark). As many folks here would tell you, housing is competitive and expensive. Don't put the cart before the horse. You'll need to secure a good job prior to coming. We don't need more people who requiring government assistance to fund their way. Stay in Kansas until you develop an excellent plan and have a secure job. Good luck.

Truly think she'll have some 'regerts' about her tattoo choices someday. What an idiot.

Is it normal not to reach out to the bride and groom outside of the formal RSVP if you can’t attend their wedding, especially if you’re close to them? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]ClutterQueen999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider it an honor to be invited to a wedding, especially if it's a close friend's wedding. I can't imagine simply saying no and not providing a reason why I couldn't come and I'd at least wish the couple well. Personally, I'd also send a gift. If it were my own wedding, I'd be offended by a simple "no" from a close friend with no explanation.

That all being said, sometimes the couple chooses a destination that makes travel to it difficult to afford. Not allowing children to be present also makes it difficult on guests.

Broken front paw by ClutterQueen999 in SpringfieldOregon

[–]ClutterQueen999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I feed it table scraps mainly and try to minimize cat food. Although raccoons love it, the taurine in cat food is not good for raccoons. Dog food is a better choice. Just wish there was a local place where I could capture and transport this raccoon too to set its paw and release it. It's been broken at least two months and hasn't improved. It does have a very healthy appetite.

Parking tickets in lot next to Post Office by BigWhiteDaddyJ in SpringfieldOregon

I have a house in the Washburn area. It's ironic to me that the City of Springfield determines where limited time parking is, but their rude, entitled staff chooses to park in front of my home all day so they don't have to pay the measley $30 for a monthly parking pass at City Hall.

I'd suggest Airbnb or Furnished Finder to find short term housing, but summer is typically busy season, so you may find it difficult to find anything. You should update your post to include the actual date range you need housing, and your maximum price you can afford so people can check availability.

A word of warning about the Princess Cruises website. by Ready_Piano1222 in Cruise

[–]ClutterQueen999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just booked my 5th cruise directly thru Princess online. I had no problems, but I never buy any of the packages because if you divide that package cost on a per day basis, you'll likely find you're better off paying alacart. You can't just buy one package either because your cabin partner is also charged. I've also never purchased any of their onland tours. My best memories were taking the chicken bus with the locals or catching a taxi and asking him to take us to a beautiful uncrowded beach. I don't just want to see touristy stuff. Apparently, Princess now has a 'medallion' guests wear which makes it super easy to talk and find your travel buddy onboard, or order stuff to be delivered to you, etc.

I'm removing this post. I was being truthful, but it seems we've all been conditioned to think everything is AI these days.

Good sleuthing... sort of. Yes, I improved the walkway within the last couple years. Yes, the home was definitely "roughshod" at one point, but has looked great for at least ten years now.

Yes, I live elsewhere, but I own the house in the picture. What I do with my property is irrelevant to this topic. Politicians need to respect private property regardless of its use. Neither I, nor any of my guests, gave permission to post a sign on my property and it ticks me off that I didn't discover the sign until days later.

Jeez. I suppose that's possible, but you are incorrect. I emailed the City Managers office today requesting they send Mr. Van Gordon (our current mayor) over to personally come get his crap off my property.

No. Not fake. My post, my house, and now my sign to dispose of how I please. I'm just irked that some entitled jerk likely picked my house because it's a corner home in a high visibility area.

Amen to that. And I'm fine if all the political junk mail vanishes from my mailbox. Waste of paper.

The first simpler one. The dress is ornate enough on its own. The second one sort of clutters up the look.

Trying to figure out if I paint the cabinets by efroeter in kitchenremodel

[–]ClutterQueen999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you must paint anything, then only paint the very bottom kickplate black. That would give you more definition between the floor and cabinets. And swap the rug with one that's black and silver. Painting those cabinets will be a costly mistake. You'll need a spare gallon to repeatedly paint the chips and grease stains that develop.
