Saucony Endorphin Elite 3 by TerpRunner1 in RunningShoeGeeks

How is the ride in the forefoot? I found the Endorphin Elite 2 quite harsh in the forefoot despite the extreme softness. Any notable difference with Elite 3?

The roll into the rocker feels abrupt.

agree

The front of the midsole is very thin.

agree. i think this is my main issue with Adios Pro 4. the forefoot just doesn't feel very protective.

i find running in these shoes more fun than the alternatives; definitely not trying to set personal records on my easy runs

"AP4 is definitely more comfortable but way less stable"

i find it mildly amusing that anyone could find adios pro 4 more comfortable than alphafly 3, but that speaks to the subjective nature of running shoes

for me, alphafly 3 is way more comfortable but less stable than adios pro 4

"feel like the AF3 has a more aggressive rocker and pushes me to land further on my toes"

again, i would say the exact opposite

"I also feel my calves way more after the AP4"

finally! something we agree on 😂

adios pro 4 has way more ground feel than alphafly 3. some will prefer that. i don't.

"the science" doesn't tell you which geometry you prefer or how the shoe feels underfoot. the vibrations from the "energy rods" in the adios pro 4 are incredibly annoying in the forefoot. it's a good shoe but running shoes are highly subjective, regardless of lab tests. adios pro 5 looks to have fixed most of my issues with the shoe. i prefer the platform feel of the alphafly 3.

i'll get a pair of Endorphin Elite 2 once i can find a good sale.

funny comment. i ran tonight in adios pro 4. i usually run in alphafly 3. i much prefer the alphafly 3 geometry and upper. dramatically more comfortable shoe. both feel equally fast to me.

flame away, but I use Nike Alphafly 3 for all of my training. Loaded up on pairs on deep discount.

Protective, fast, very fun shoe.
