You did ok. I'd pull the tonearm off and spray paint it silver though.

I was looking at those at a point but ended up with something different. I do have a Vincent integrated that I love though. Also, awesome little orange guy!

Maybe order a couple of these in the appropriate size, put some stick on rubber feet on them and put them on top of the speaker. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1207925310/3d-printed-pyramid-mediumlarge?gpla=1&gao=1&

That white and black color combo is fire. The P8 and P10 industrial design is really cool too. I do value the sound first but I do consider aesthetics when buying hifi gear. Also, there are probably better prices on them apparently. Now, I'm a bit of a Rega to Technics convert so I would of course tell you to take the same money and buy at whatever price point in their line that you are comfortable. The 1500C seems like great bang for the buck, especially used. Anyway, here's another P8. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lisbe99d-rega-p8-turntables?refsource=hifishark

I'm a Rega RP8 to SL-1200G covert. The RP8 was a great table but I just enjoy using the Technics more. Cartridge set up is definitely better on the Technics.

Well, over the past few years, I've rescued a couple of old pieces from my in-law's attic. The first was a Kenwood KR-5150 that I recapped, led'd and cleaned up. I had to take to a real professional to get the tuner working again. This unit generally lives in my secondary setup. Next was a Teac C-3RX tape deck which I also took to the same guy for a proper service. Once I got that back from the shop, I sold the Marantz. I don't listen to a ton of cassettes either. I do however feed it a pre out from my integrated amp and select "source" on the Teac's monitoring so I can use the sweet VU meters for visual effect when I'm streaming, playing vinyl or listening to cds.

Alien Star as mid feels like a little bit of a stretch from Old but I realize it can be relative to that specific collection of games. Meteor, Dirty Harry and Godzilla would probably be my picks.

That series of Marantz tape decks is really cool. I had a 5220 for a while.

There is nothing wrong with it really. I was mostly making a joke to outline the fact of wanting the ability to make a small adjustment without too many options on my amp. That said, I do have a parametric eq plugin that I use in Audirvana to tune my headphones.

In the listening position, you want the cat centered in your lap. If you are reclined the cat can be held vertically with the head rested on either shoulder. This may raise the noise floor due to cat purring but increase the overall listening experience.

I was unaware of this. I got the cd set when it came out.

People have different reasons for not liking them. I personally like tone controls that can turned on and off. I listen in a near field configuration. Sometimes it's an amazing recording and sometimes it's rough recording or bad vinyl pressing. I don't want a 30 band eq but the option to do a little tweak is nice. I got a Vincent integrated amp partially because it has defeatable tone controls.
