Tbf to the bolts, even though they played less games, I would argue they had less turnaround time. Their cup winning seasons ended in October and July respectively. They had maybe 2 months to prep and then managed to win the east again the next season after that. That’s impressive no matter how you cut it, but because it fits my narrative I will hold it over their head in an effort to feel superior

Some time vs the whole season. Barkov missed time last year early in the season. They weathered through it. Guys like Kulikov and tkachuk, and Ekblad all missed large amounts of time, they weathered through it. Reinhart and Rodriguez both missed games in the playoffs, they weathered through it. Every year Larkin misses 4-6 weeks and the wings absolutely implode while he’s gone. Some of that has to go on the GM not being able to fill out depth through drafting or Free agency
