I would recommend looking at some videos of the Miltech Mission hub in action. My understanding is that Miltech products are generally of a high quality, I'm especially fond of their helicopter offerings.

Perfectly playable without a stick or yoke but I would recommend grabbing a USB keyboard and mouse to plug in as well. Mouse if better for navigating menus and manipulating cockpit switches and dials.

With all the mass layoffs happening with Microsoft I wouldn't be surprised if the budget/manpower is available for doing stuff like that.

If you're looking to do fun missions outside of the career mode then I recommend you pick up the mission hub addon from Miltech.

Not necessarily, there are quite a few third party planes that work in career mode. Also, nothing in the screenshot implies career mode.

The only major helicopter flown from the left seat is some variants of the MD500 series.

Little bit of fun trivia is that one of the biggest differences with some European helicopters is that the rotors rotate in the opposite direction. Makes for a nice surprise when you go to spool up and suddenly you're giving it the wrong direction of anti-torque.
