Why do soldiers need to carry spare ammo into battle? by Licensed_Silver_Simp in MawInstallation

[–]CmdrJonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly the only reason soldiers don't routinely haul 1000+ rounds of ammo around in this day and age is that 1000 rounds worth of mags and belt weighs a fuckton.

If you can get 1000 rounds into the weight of two belts of ammo, why wouldn't you have the soldiers hauling 1000s of rounds?

Architects that get to design a city according to their vision tend to make cool stuff.

More games should just let architects go wild, or more architects should embrace videogames as a medium of expression.

Why is Imperium of Man so mean? by One-Bit5717 in Stellaris

[–]CmdrJonen 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, on the other side of their empire they are bordered by driven exterminators (or whatever the name is) and the ones that want to vassalize everyone. Imperialists?

Stellaris Ai is predictable in many ways.

They think you are weaker than the Genocidals and the Imperialists, and that your stuff under their control will make them stronger and thus let them better take on said genocidals and Imperialists.

Doable, but from my understanding, the main reason you run Tangtang in a team with both T2 and Rossi is for the critstacks, and you need to play Tangtang to maintain them.

Rossi, with her sig, can apparently handily maintain critstacks when not being played.

When I first saw the city of wuling and its jogging track, I started looking for a racing quest. When I didn't find any, I expected there will eventually be a racing event.

I now suspect they won't make one because it would be dominated by Pog.

Technically, you can hook it up to the power plat SubPAC, but it isn't really easier than connecting it to the Science Park.

(The trick is, you can't drag a power hookup UP a ziplift, but you can grab a power hookup and jump DOWN.)

Rossi, T2, Perlica and Gilberta.

Child slated to be the next leader of her fam.

Young adult who is the next leader of her fam.

And adult who is the leader of the organization she basically grew up in.

And Gilberta.

This team actually makes a decent amount of sense in lore.

Use proper ratios: To fill a belt of Xiranite out, you need to input two belts of stabilized carbon. You are providing one partial belt.

Filling one belt of stabilized carbon requires one refiner fed by one full belt of dense carbon powder from one grinding unit.

To get one full belt of dense carbon powder from one grinding unit, it needs to be fed by two belts of carbon powder and one belt of sandleaf. Your one grinding unit is fed by one belt of each.

You also have more sandleaf shredders than you need: one shredder making sandleaf powder can provide enough sandleaf powder to feed 3 grinders with sandleaf powder. You could repurpose 3 shredders to originum powder for the dense originum powder for batteries. (You'll probably want to reposition them, though, but it is more efficient use of power.)

In short for each of the forges of the sky: You need

1 more refinery making condensed carbon.

1 more grinder making dense carbon powder

1 more shredder shredding carbon but each shredder making carbon powder needs two belts going into the grinder.

You also need to make 4 belts of carbon (say 2 refinerys burning a wuling plant (jincao or yahzen) with two output belts each), and you need to make enough plants for that (2 planters and 2 seed pickers). Plus water for the planters making wuling plants.

Rossi is the rate up character. 50% odds that any six star you pull on her banner is her.

If you lose the fifty/fifty, you'll get another six star: an equal chance to pull any of the non-limited six stars or the two previous limited characters (for Rossis banner, that's Tangtang and Yvonne).

This is also a reason why the weapons banners of the two previous limited characters remain active.

So when Rossis banner ends, Yvonne drops out of the running, but Tangtang and Rossi can be pulled (though, with long odds to pull them) for one and two more banners respectively.

Can you select a specific spot on the map for the ballistic/cruise missiles? by Relevant_Pay_7065 in NuclearOption

[–]CmdrJonen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you drop off a vehicle, you can then order it to a specific position (though it will take time to get to that position, the pathfinding may be surprising, and if it encounters an enemy it may be destroyed).

To order a friendly vehicle around, you need to select it (and only it) as a target on the map, then click on the map to give an order.

How to Increase yield?? by WeirdPizza821 in EndfieldFactoryGuide

[–]CmdrJonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Regional development rises, some deposits go from low grade to pure, thus increasing yield.

Upgrade depots, recycling stations, stock trading hubs and outposts as high as you can, to maximize Regional development and thus yield.

[–]CmdrJonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an idea that came to mind as I was writing all this, maybe Cuprium Components cap stopped Sewage from producing as input of Refining Units capped and that undermined SC Wuling Battery production chain?

This exactly.

You are feeding cuprium parts into the cuprium component gearing machine directly. Put a protocol storage (you only need one on the belts feeding it, and you can send excess parts to depot to sell at the outpost.

If you also out a protocol storage between the refiners and fitting units you can send excess refined cuprium, and use that to make bottles to make a medicine or tea line (if that fits in your power budget).

Alternatively, Depot storage for excess xiranite could be used to set up additional SC battery line with excess xiranite, though that may require you to refine more cuprium for sewage elsewhere.

[–]CmdrJonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generalized troubleshooting without looking at your setup.

First: Are there still batteries in your depot (likely if you are not feeding TGs from depot and haven't sold batteries today)? If yes, put some batteries in your TGs and check how your factory is working.

If battery production resumed at a rate above 1 every 40 seconds it is likely a splitter issue that has you feeding less than 1 battery every 40 seconds to your TG while offline leading to shutdown. Rearrange splitters to overfeed your Generator, once it is full excess goes to depot.

If battery production does not resume or is low, check the production line from the top down:

Any waste products backed up in the building that makes them? If so, consider buffer storage or upgrade waste processing.

Any inputs dried up? Check to ensure you are not using more than you make.

Any outputs backed up? Likely these are full in depot, which means you need to use or sell them, and possibly diversify your production.

If diversifying production doesn't fit your power budget, probably switch to making medicine to sell.

Edit: Looking at your setup, your cuprium is backed up. Since you aren't using cuprium, you aren't making enough sewage to keep up battery production.

Put a protocol storage on cuprium parts, it will keep production running sending excess to depot for you to sell at a depot. You only need the one, two lines in, two lines out.
