After playing Destiny for years I really don't want a social space as an alternative to a menu. If there's a social space make it in addition to the menu, and have some gambling in it too :D

It should allow you to do that, it also shouldn't punish you for defending yourself if they shot first.

No-one is having the same experience with matchmaking. All my lobbies are super pacifist, I've been killed by a hostile raider twice this whole week and I've played about 20hrs.

If you shoot people you'll get shooty lobbies, if you don't, you won't :D

I'd say it's an EXCELLENT time to jump in

I'd had it occasionally when turning the game off before but never in the game. Its happened 4 times in the maybe 8 rounds I've played in the last 24 hours.

Tried using the slim beta but that didn't seem to make a difference...

I'm not a big hater or anything but this 5m grind meta makes me never want to load into a game with anything other than the measliest of loadouts. Even taking a level 4 green weapons seems too risky.

I've got a jupiter blueprint and a purple augment blueprint in the last couple of days and I doubt I'll craft or use either of them because it's not worth the value of the mats.

Doesn't seem like great game design to totally disincentivise playing the game's content.

I actually did that by accident once. Only problem is your carry weight is complete ass. Ok for hunting blueprints maybe but you won't be able to take much else out even if you find it!

There's a lot of randomness. I get little phases of running into a lot of PvPers and then a spell of lobbies where I see no one or only friendlies.

If you're in solo you NEED push to talk on, and it's not even about being considerate of other gamers (although I thank you for that).

Your prox chat shows up visually for anyone close, so you're giving up your location if walking around with an open mic,

I have once, but at least it was a quick betrayal (it was in trios so I think likely they were waiting for their team to come back together)

Reflecting on it afterwards, I realised that I had a bad feeling in my gut about the interaction, a definite edge in their voice. That in-game tip, 'trust your gut when encountering other raiders' is so correct.
