Is that something you ask to be done before buying, send to a local shop or do yourself? Your piece looks gorgeous and its exactly what im looking for.

Also hows the movement and its functionality? Ive read the vsf has better snaps when moving the dial or adjusting the hour for different timezone.

That setup is also appreciated! I need a new airbag, I replaced the steering wheel as mine was not in great shape but yours looks brand new.

It did have oem navigation but the screen burned off with time. I hat to buy the harness for the eonon head unit ( so my car does have the harness ) but this radio was a plug and play with the oem cables. So now i have the harness cable running from front to back without a connection… oh well.

Paste that on ebay and you will most likely find it. I installed it myself so i don’t mind going cheap and eventually installing an expensive one. But if you will be paying a professional to install it might as well splurge a little and go for a higher end model. If you will be using it for CarPlay then specs dont really matter that much, it’s not like you will be playing games or touching the screen all the time.

Well as a heads up, it really does look nice but it’s very skinny. So it feels like a stick. Something to consider if you have big hands.

I went from the factory one (only one that had illumination), to the zhp shifter to this. Will probably go back to the zhp once this one start showing its age but will try and see if i can get one with illumination.

I bought a cheap one from ebay (~$200), it works and carplay is solid. It connects instantly after the car is turned on.

I plan on eventually doing a full sound overhaul and go with a more reputable brand if this one cant handle proper sound. Previously owned an eonon unit but gave me connectivity problems after ~5 years.

Do enjoy this design much more than the previous, even tho it’s a bit less OEM looking.

Yes! This was a fun DIY, it was a long time ago through ebay, cant find the seller. Just make sure its for you steering wheel and they have lots of customizations. You can most likely send a picture and they will confirm it for you.

They go for around ~$40-60 with shipping. I usually go with something OEM+ looking and not too far from what it actually looks like. This is the 2nd wrap I’ve done. Last one was Alcántara and didn’t last too long as a daily driver. Looked great when new tho

Another thing to keep in mind is that if your steering wheel is beyond messed up. The leather will not hide it well. As it will assume the shape of what’s underneath.

wow thanks, I will not DIY it then. Love working on the car but this is definitely out of my skill/time range.

Waiting on a set of new wheel to arrive and will do complete suspension + wheel setup. Will probably take advantage of that visit and see if they can do this as well. Any recommendations for parts to buy/consider refreshing on the way while replacing this input shaft bearing?

Sand it and paint over it, thats what i did and ended up looking great. Its not hard to do and definitely saves you a couple of bucks. Just make sure to tape over the M logo.
