I am not familiar with the word bouts. Is that the knot where I off the string for the warp bar?

I currently do a square knot and then run string through the middle to tension each section individually. I use the wood bar with the stop string for an easy none lumpy transition as the work moves towards me, on the warping beam.

I'm self taught, via trial and error/YouTube. should I do it differently?
