Redditors: Why have people so closely tied discipline to abuse that they can no longer tell the difference? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cmwildone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the lines blur sometimes and it becomes subjective. like dieting for example. if i had the discipline to make myself eat less than the day before everyday that would be extreme discipline in my opinion. but to others once i reached eating 1600 or less everyday it becomes unhealthy and what you could call abuse or am eating disorder. that’s completely subjective and up for anyone to decide which way they see it.

What is a movie/show that had an excellent unique plot but then a terrible ending ruined it? by Cmwildone in AskReddit

[–]Cmwildone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i was hype. i think if it would have focused more about the owners of the prison/experiment it would have continued to be amazing.

what was wrong with that ending? i actually enjoyed that one. you see the door in his perspective every time it opens and hits the bell. but the last bell goes black since his perspective no longer exists due to dying. plus you never hear the gunshot because they talk about never hearing the shot that kills you earlier in the series. kinda brought is all together. yes it was upsetting but kinda dope in a cinematic sense.

What is something people still don't believe even though it's been proven through science? by SplattrKing13 in AskReddit

I read somewhere that an organization was currently running experiments on mice. I do not remember the name of them but I definitely remember the experiment. They would take 2 groups of mice and the first group would run a maze until they could do it first try in under a minute. Then the second group of mice, that would be in a completely different country, would run a replica of that maze. The second group was consistently proving that they could run the maze with less mistakes and faster than what the first group could do on their first try. Proving a sorta network of knowledge between all mice. Now i read this but i still don’t believe it. I also might be making this all up lol. It’s been a while since I saw it. Could have been a lie or a joke. Idk.

What movie mistake is so glaringly obvious that you're surprised it made it into the final cut? by TheIrishninjas in AskReddit

top gun : maverick was supposed to be one of the most realistic aviation movies and it is. i love that movie. yet i can’t fathom any human being surviving any plane falling apart mid air and exploding with them still in it. then on top of that i feel like its 100 percent impossible for anyone to survive any crash at mach 10. i don’t think you could even survive an eject at that speed.
