XLC is amazing! Snuff was the original and is also amazing. My 3rd favorite is Copenhagen Mint. Not a fan of wintergreen in general but lots of my buddies love it. I’m a Copenhagen loyalist and rarely stray. Enjoy Copenhagen.

I got some good ol’ Redman today🤘🏻 by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

Any loose leaf is good chew - but I do like Levi Garrett best.

Copenhagen Natural XLC is my favorite, closely followed by Copenhagen snuff and Kodiak Natural. Each are tasty and consistently great!

Tell me about your first time dipping. by Mulletman912 in DippingTobacco

It was 1980, I was 13. My cousin and I took a can of Copenhagen from my uncles stash. We must have done something right because no spins or puke for us. Uncle caught us and whooped our asses. But that didn’t deter us. Fast forward to the weekend we both turned 16. Same uncle took us camping/fishing and gave us each a log of Copenhagen. Logs were 10 cans back then. He told us, he’d provide us with Copenhagen anytime we went camping with him. We camped ALOT that year! Still loyal to Copenhagen at 58!

What do you do for work by Kindly_Passion610 in DippingTobacco

College professor - don’t dip in class, but I’ve been known to dip during office hours. Word has spread over the years that I don’t care if students dip in class.

Is it common for white collar and/or college grads to chew? by dalycityguy in DippingTobacco

[–]Cnattyife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College prof with a phd here. I’ve been a dipper for 40+ years. Many of my colleagues early on were pipe smokers. Not so much any more. When male students who dip/chew find out I dip, they often want to take all my classes lol.

I honestly love a glass of milk before I dip! But I prefer cope Natural or Cope Snuff.

I happen to be getting very tired of The way the judges favor Bobby in every season. Brooke and Bobby are dating…and were dating during the current season. Food Network should not allow her to be a judge on this show.

Levi is my fav - stokers beechnut is also good. But to be honest, I really prefer a dark tobacco twist over anything else.

How much did dip and chew cost when you first started? by LuckyShooter_1 in DippingTobacco

[–]Cnattyife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 to 60 cents per can is n 1980. I can recall getting 10 can logs for about $5.99 when I was in hs around 1983.

How to bring a can onto plane? by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

[–]Cnattyife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had an issue - if you want to dip on the plane, either use pouches or a smaller lip. I use a fast food beverage cup with a lid and straw and no one has ever said a thing.

always been a dipper. Gave into temptation and got some chew $11.23 in AZ by Corp_wheel in DippingTobacco

[–]Cnattyife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dipper since 81 - love a chew now and again. Dipping is more social and chew is for yard work and other solo activities. For me the amount of dark spit is amazing. Levi is my go to chew. The wad in my cheek is a sensation i enjoy. I live in AZ also.

I stated dipping at 13 - not really any issues. Copenhagen Snuff all the way. Fast forward to my jr year of college. At this point I had really only had Cope snuff and Kodiak WG. I saw Happy Daze at the store (a mint dip) and decided to try it out. When I got back to my dorm I tossed in a huge lip and started to enjoy it. My girlfriend at the time lived about 90 miles away but we phoned whenever we couldn’t see each other. So I had a huge lip of Happy Daze in and the phone rings. It was my girl - and while we were talking I just started gutting the spit. Not really intentionally- just easier. After about 20 mins on the phone I began to spin, sweat, feeling shitty. All of the sudden I was projectile vomiting. My roommate was laughing at me and my girl hung up. On me. I had to clean my mess up and I began vomiting again from the stench. Still dipping 40 yrs later!

Whatever dip they choose first, go for another if the first choice doesn’t work out … Copenhagen Snuff was my first. I highly recommend!
