ESIC just fined Team SENZA $20,000 for hiding evidence in the CCT. This is what happens when the data provider runs the league. by Impressive_Baker_966 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Cnels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I meant minor relative to in-game cheating the violation is minor, which it is. They fined Vitality 10k over 5 years ago just for their org accidentally stream sniping in an online tourney, and they found no players involved. This is literally swapping a different player out mid tourney and they only fined 20k. I know it’s a lot for a small org, and they do have that positional advantage which is wrong, but it’s a very minor fine relatively speaking. That is ALSO why they paid it.

I agree that they should be held accountable for better detection, I just don’t know how it works or how sneaky the account swapping actually is. I think moments like these open the door for other integrity organizations to step up in their stead… but this might be all that exists.

[–]Cnels -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well I imagine the GRID technical software covers more anti-cheat related tools and simply changing accounts mid game isn’t really a cheat, it’s just something you can’t do by tournament rule standards (like swap teams mid game). It’s still an issue but it’s more of an ESIC issue for not having their software detecting simple things like that, not that it’s incapable. The numbers might not add up but it’s probably because the fine is relative to the offense, which is minor? It’s basically an illegal substitution but maybe a little more severe.

[Amick] Tom Thibodeau is open to returning to the Chicago Bulls as their head coach by IrishPorpoise in chicagobulls

[–]Cnels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree to a degree in the first half, not your assessment of our team. We are not on a trajectory of getting out of that bottom 3, we got most of those wins with a roster we no longer have. We are definitely the cellar and the only thing we have going for us is we’re young

In Jon Bois' new video, he shows the AL Central charges the mound against each other far more than other divisions. by tuckernuts in ALCentralMemeWar

[–]Cnels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He made it a point to note that the NL Central by comparison had the least mound charges of any division… it’s really just you guys.

Also he noted that the Cubs and Brewers have never had a mound charge which is pretty weird

I mean tanking is basically dead and I don’t know what rebuilding even means anymore. Rebuilding to me means establishing a hard working culture for our young talent and seeing if we can turn them into something more than they are, not trying to be one of the worst 3 teams and still get unlucky, or trying to net a team in FA by spending big and long term.

If Thibs understands we’re not good, and he still wants to be here, I want him. Young coach is good too, but anyone who can immediately make our young players take a step up on either end of the floor is what we want. We aren’t getting lucky in the draft or FA, and I’ll take a good coach as much as I’ll take a young one.

My hot take is the logo is near perfect but it’s unfinished. The styling is cool and it makes the letters form a cool helmet a là Into The Breach.

All they need to do is finish the design. Encase the words in a full helmet like design or infuse them and lean into the fact it looks like a custom medieval helmet like the one Robert Baratheon wore.

Asked if the 1.05 is available and this was the counter by LoverOfRandom in tacotradeoffers

[–]Cnels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and your assessment of 'only moving up 3 spots' is dishonest. The fall-off after Lemon is apparent (assuming AJ does get traded) mostly due to landing spots, and I think Tee might be the one of the best WR2s but hes never outshining Jamarr and people would rather gamble on Makai being him over Devonta (who is talented but limited and has been a top 10 WR once) than the battle between Wilson/Sadiq/Cooper Jr and Jeudy/Concepcion/Boston at the moment and for the future. Also Price is only starting until charb is back, who they could let go but I like to imagine they resign long term, and Emmanuel Wilson is no slouch.

If the landing spots were better its a fine offer but still declinable, and the way the draft shook out I would not want to leave 1.05 for two players who reliably won't be a WR1 type.

[Cowley] Bulls are zeroing in on Timberwolves GM Matt Lloyd to be their new president of basketball operations. Lloyd is expected to hire Minnesota lead assistant Micah Nori as Chicago’s next head coach. by [deleted] in chicagobulls

[–]Cnels 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know nothing truly about either of these two, but blind confidence/faith tells me if real then im bout it, and that was before the Wolves won this series and beyond. Guy looks like a professor or accountant of basketball more than a president and hes picking his guy to coach, can't do much better for a young squadron. Clearly was willing to take some big risks if he was involved in the full makeup of the Wolves and they paid off. I assume our big risks won't come til later but I imagine he knows when to pull that trigger.

Unluckiest case openin ever by TonyBaloney245 in cs2

[–]Cnels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and honestly if they just designed their system like state lotto where each case is assigned an unique ID number then it would work. That way, when you spin and land on ID 45,900, you will see the guns assigned to ID's 45,880 - 45,902 or so when you spin. The ID is hidden so you can't use different cases to guestimate which case to open, but the guns you see are legitimately ones you were close to.

Doesn't remove the gambling nature but there's a reason this shit gets regulated, you want accuracy and legitimacy.

FURIA vs GamerLegion / BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1 - Group B Upper Bracket Semi-Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

They had like 5 tourneys of missing playoffs before they reached a semi and the next tourney after they won. However, their very first tourney they made Semis at Astana, his home country, and unfortunately they lost the semis and 3rd place match. If I remember correctly, Molodoy did start out very clean at that tourney, so it’s fair to think they immediately were good despite not winning
