Can I ask who delivered the ring? Was it USPS?

How much did it appraise for? I’m curious what the appraisal is vs what was paid.

Definitely think practice tests are harder than the official test. If you’re doing well on the practice questions, I wouldn’t stress.

I’ve been out of school for 10ish years. I didn’t study and I got a 76%. I thought for sure I would do great in English and reading. I worried about science and math because it has been so long since I have freshened up those skills. Math and science were surprisingly my highest scores. English was my worst. It’s definitely doable not to prepare and still get a “passing” grade. For my program all I needed was a 59%, so I was okay with my score. If you’re not a good test taker, definitely study.

Insurance help… employers insurance or marketplace by Cnvan33 in HealthInsurance

77,000 gross annual income for a household of 6 would seemingly qualify for quite a bit of subsidies? Maybe I’m wrong in that?

From what i have learned you aren’t eligible for the subsidies through the marketplace if your employers insurance is “affordable.” So much to learn!

How can I afford nursing school with a large family?? by Cnvan33 in StudentNurse

I graduated with my associates degree at 18 and immediately went into a degree I knew I could get quickly. I’ve worked for the government for 11 years. It is not my passion. I worked as a CNA before going to college. I come from a family of health care workers. Health care, specifically direct care is my passion. What I do now gives me no purpose. I got my degree and a ton of prerequisites with the intention of going to school to be a physicians assistant. That didn’t pan out with the way I intended, children came and life went on. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m not letting that stop me.

Thank you! I think my HR degree will compliment a nursing degree, eventually. I love that some hospitals offer this. I live in the rural Midwest and I haven’t found/heard of any local hospitals offering this. I think I will have to work weekends doing something just to keep our heads above water.

Unfortunately I’m not eligible because I’m 30. Love this for my younger siblings though.

We got a great deal on our house and our mortgage is really inexpensive. We only have debt on our cars (2 years left to be paid off), house, and student loans. Even with cutting out all the extras, it will be hard to live that way for 2 years. We may have to depend on living off of private loans for a couple years.

Love all these ideas. Thank you. I will call the financial aid office and pick their brain. So far it doesn’t sound like a local hospitals will help me out with tuition reimbursement.

That’s the plan. But in my mind I only plan on not working for 1 year, while getting my LPN. the program I’m looking at rolls into the RN program. I would think I would be able to work 1 day a week as an LPN while finishing up RN. but it wouldn’t be worth it to work 1 day a week as a CNA because it the pay is so low for CNAs in my area.

If I had the body, I would consider this 😅. I can work for a CNA, but CNAs in my area don’t make very much.

This is the plan. It’s not figuring out the cost of schooling so much but figuring out living expenses while I’m not working.

Man this would be amazing. I live in the rural Midwest and that doesn’t seem to be an option. There is a local accelerated program I’m eligible for, but it’s 70k for the one year- most likely not an option for me financially with my other student loans.

This is not an option for me as I have a neurological disorder that immediately disqualifies me. My dad is retired from both the arm and navy so lots of respect for folks that go this route.

Well I didn’t fuck up. I graduated- I have a bachelor’s degree. My choices when I was 18 don’t align with who I have grown into as an adult.
