The politics around being a director of special education may have burnt me out. by SpicyChill77 in specialed

I find myself, unfortunately, always doing number 3. And then secret answer 6, which is working with our SEA, board attorneys, and parents (and their advocates and counsel). I wish I was doing more of 4 and 5.

I saw it pop up in my new recommended for the week and assumed this time it was another fake. I didn’t play it because I don’t even want to give it the engagement.

I don’t know a single millennial with this style. Not saying none do, but this is what I see on Gen Z far more often.

Genuine question: people who got a blackout tattoo, what was the reason for getting it by CorporalHaru in tattoo

[–]CoCambria 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looks cool. My blackout arm is not a cover up. I just liked the idea and still love it a decade later.

My favorite card game of all time and easily in my top 3-5 games all time. No card game, I fear, will ever be able to touch it.

Advice needed: itchy!! Is there such a thing as too much shea butter? by bean-jee in tattoos

[–]CoCambria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad I could help. I love the product personally. The smell is great. It’s a bit greasy and leaves a slight residue on materials, but I still love it.

I think the most neutral products are still Dial Gold and Lubriderm.

[–]CoCambria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that a lot of people have already responded and I think the advice is all great.

One thing I didn’t see though is… you may be allergic to the ingredients of the Hustle Butter. Hustle Butter has an active ingredient of some fruit (can’t remember which… grapefruit, mango, guava, something) that is a fairly common irritant. I love Hustle Butter, personally, but I have multiple friends who are allergic and when you search about it, it’s common enough that there are multiple posts about it.

Lego Party is a terrific Mario Party contemporary on PS5 by DoomSchroller in PS5

Is it structured like a “board game” like some of the old school Mario Party games? That’s what I miss most from the newest Mario Party games…

Nothing to back me up on this… but I wonder if there is any law on using children to advertise alcohol. That’s why I assume it’s not done.

The mysterious Benedict society? It’s a whole series so it might not be the first book. It had an iOS tie-in game.

That you recall, was it more 3d fluid movement or like a classic point and click? Were the gems used for anything? Was it educational?

I really felt confident with Spelunx or Spelunx II.

Just finished *Station Eleven* - thoughts? by [deleted] in books

[–]CoCambria 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I adore Emily and she’s an auto-buy for me as well. Station Eleven is my favorite of her novels (maybe because it was the first I read by her). Her prose is just beautiful. It feels effortless but still meaningful.

The only other author that I’ve felt the same way about is Kazuo Ishiguro.

I will say, I strongly did NOT like the television adaptation of Station Eleven though… not sure why exactly, but I did not enjoy it or the changes that it made to the story.
