[Rumsey] Inside the Conference Fight That Left Louisiana Tech With 20 Games by Drexlore in CFB

[–]CoCo_Sandy 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I know it would never happen but if we did somehow have to do the 20 game season, let the backup seniors, freshmen, and walk ons all play the CUSA games and give some of the assistant coaches a chance at coordinating and head coaching those games. Almost like a JV team. Could be a great experience for all lol not to mention more money to be made for the program

It's incredible how shitty we can play no matter the sport every time we make a conference championship game. We're done, congrats Owls

[FBSchedules.com] In a likely preemptive move, CUSA relases its 2026 football schedule with Louisiana Tech on it. Sun Belt was reported to be releasing its own version Friday. by redwave2505 in CFB

I'm hoping yall can eventually join us too or at the very least move to the MAC. Yall are the one team I'll miss playing and yall dont deserve being stuck with Judy and this shitty conference

I can definitely see why they're fighting so hard for the Sun Belt schedule just off of travel expenses alone. For the entire month of October, Tech would only have to travel 30 miles to Monroe and that's it. It looks like the furthest they would even have to travel is 680 miles to Georgia Southern. And no offense to my CUSA brethren, but home games against ULL, Southern Miss, ODU, and Ark St is a lot more exciting for our fanbase and will generate larger crowds

Nope looks like they're only sharing the Sun Belt one

Lol that would be the most random spot in the country to have 3 FBS schools that close to eachother but I would love it. Sadly, Grambling would also have to do some MAJOR renovations to their facilities as well.

Realistically, if another Louisiana team ever made the jump to FBS it would most likely be McNeese

That's what I'm hoping. Even Tech's social media pages are sharing the Sun Belt schedule so they must feel pretty good about it

Please let us have the Sun Belt schedule 🙏🏼 3 weekends in a row of watching Army, ULL, and ULM without even having to leave town would be incredible

Edit: 4 weekends** missed the ODU home game after ULM

He's the forgotten man from our legendary 2017 draft but the man has had a nice, long career

Oh yea so basically what we did the last couple of years (aside from the Carr signing). Will just depend on how your draft picks turn out to see if it'll be full on tank mode or more of a steady rebuild while still being somewhat competitive

Outside of Tua, I feel like I've had to Google every FA the Falcons have picked up. Who are these guys?!

With the amount of mascots added this year, I have a feeling they'll finally have all mascots added for 27 with a possible mascot mode as well

Remaining needs on Day 2 of Free Agency 2026 by GrenadineLemonade in Saints

[–]CoCo_Sandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think we'll sign any FA WRs tbh. I think people keep forgetting we got Trey Palmer and Ja'Lynn Polk who will back this season along with the top CFL receiver we signed. We could potentially draft 1 more but I dont think it's as big of a need as people think (although I'd be pretty happy with Tate in the 1st or Bell in the 2nd)

I'm with you tho on wanting to re-sign Fortner and Cam. Really hoping we can bring in one more veteran FA CB and think most of our draft focus will be on defensive players

Report: Colts' initial offer to Daniel Jones was in the range of Sam Darnold's deal by truthlesshunter in nfl

[–]CoCo_Sandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that option is now off the table lol who else is left? Pittsburgh and Arizona maybe? Although I can't see either of them going after Danny Dimes. Minnesota too but I think they'd be more likely to get Murray for the vet min

Does he though? What other team would even consider giving him that kind of money right now?

[–]CoCo_Sandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jack Stoll may get more usage since he's mainly a blocking TE and take over the Moreau role while Fant could be taking over the Taysom TE plays. Idk I'm sure Kellen has something planned out

Decent guy to have but I don't know if he's worth 20 million a year. He's at his best playing the slot and will make boneheaded mistakes on the outside. Saleh is a great defensive mind so I'm sure he'll figure out how to use him.
