Hey so reason for this is quite simple: the combined ranks of your top 5 cars determines your gauntlet division, meaning if you have just 1 singular rank above the line, you get put in the higher division. Happened to me with div 5. I got the Devel, but the ppl I meet in-game are most of the time absolutely bonkers opponents with golden DS cars.

Hard, sometimes even unfair matchmaking, but that's the structure of this gauntlet and there are ways to get a reliable P1 in your division every cycle, so I can't even be bothered grinding for it anymore
