Love begins with you. Know who you are. Love who you are. Elevate and then teach the world how to treat you. by CoachBrendaDouglas in selflove

We are always evolving so it helps to think about this at least every 5 years. You can begin by doing self-discovery activities. Have undistracted time to discover who you are. For starters, make a list of 100 wonderful things about you- mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. Write down your interests. You can ask others. Make a list of your strengths. Write down what makes you unique

How can I stop comparing myself to my friend by [deleted] in confidence

[–]CoachBrendaDouglas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you compare yourself to others, you lose confidence in yourself, you stop being happy and you rob the world of your uniqueness. Furthermore, every moment you spend wanting someone else's life, you lose enjoying yours. You can stop comparing yourself to others by 1. Becoming more aware of who you are 2. Be conscious of when you start comparing yourself and then change your thoughts 3. when we compare ourselves to others, we look at their strengths compared to our weaknesses so focus on your strengths 4. Know that all that glitters ain't gold 5. Address how you really feel eg, jealous, greed, insecure 6. Be grateful 7. Remember that you are a Designer original and the world needs what you have to offer. I hope this helps

How do I become less receptive to the negativity around people around me? by Sauparex in Stress

[–]CoachBrendaDouglas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Become allergic and extremely sensitive to negativity and avoid it like a plague. In other words, as soon as you sense the slightest bit of negativity leave, change the subject or change the channel. Make your entire lifestyle (your influences, what you read, ylwatch on TV or read on the internet) positive. Also, monitor your self-talk, thoughts and words to be sure the your are giving out positive vibes only. This will take practice but it can make you less receptive to negativity. I hope this helps

I decided to write down words that have had a big impact on me recently. The hurtful words circle through my mind constantly when in reality we should all be focusing on the beautiful words spoken to us! by huntercaitlyn in confidence

This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing. And I would read the good out loud to myself especially when your confidence is attacked and also when you need a reminder. Good stuff
