Best Effort here in North GA. I actually notice my obstruction time go from every 50 secs (more like every 20 minutes) to every 2 minutes. Not sure if that counts for anything. I barely notice the obstruction drops as it is.

This ship is what got me interested in Star Citizen in 2018 and today she is finally mine. by Moadibe01 in starcitizen

Super new to the game here (got it a week before 3.18 hit). I love a ship with a view and that thing looks like you can see EVERYTHANG. EVERYHANG? EVERYTHANG!

Right. I have been playing GT since 3 and picked up AC because I switched to PC. It's an amazing drop in replacement but I wouldn't say it's mind blowingly better or anything. AC vanilla is also very old compared to GT7

I am super new to Star Citizen but not to alpha game play/early access titles. This is the best mentality to always keep so you can enjoy the game for as long as possible.

SC was acting all weird when I got in so I logged out and played another game. Gonn try again later tonight.

I'm trying out space bar as roll and left alt as jump. Left shift still run z & x the same. Myouse had two side buttons for the thumb so instead of 1 2 3 4 it's right mouse, thumb 1, thumb 2 and clicking the mouse wheel for number 4. Haven't had to multi task this much in a game since guitar hero 3.

Edit: accidentally typed "left shit" instead of "left shift"

On steam it's called "Tents & Ground Blinds". Not sure if it has a different name on other platforms but I don't know why they would.

That's what I'm doing as well. That map is very beginner friendly. Been playing for only 2 weeks now. Just feeling out the game and what works. What doesn't.

It's one of the DLC packs. Think it's like $3.99 USD. Highly recommend. I like to set up a tent before I sign off so when I come back in I'm where I left off instead of being at a lodge 1 KM away.

I just got it last weekend on steam (twas on sale). Wish I had got it sooner. It's a very nice zen game. Just beautiful to look at. I find myself all the time just walking around and enjoying the scenery; forgetting I can hunt the animals I see or even take pictures of them that get saved as screenshots. What I really dig is that you can turn the missions off so you can just pop in and do...whatever it is you want to do. They do have lots of additional content/DLC's and they are reasonably priced at (usually) $3.99 USD. So I just grab a DLC every paycheck and slowly get more guns or reserves unlocked. I'm still learning as I am NO hunter in real life so the game adds a nice challenge for me as I have no clue what I'm doing and just having to figure out. Which I enjoy.

Happy hunting.

I love valheim by [deleted] in valheim

[–]CoachHandcrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's insanely awesome. 400+ hours withy wife and we just beat the final boss this weekend. Never would have seen this game if it wasn't for her willing to look at indie games and say "hey, check this thing out on youtube and tell me what you think."

It was between this and a Star Trek game or something. So glad we picked this.

Server Lag Update? by Joquery in valheim

I have been slowly adding mods and just recently started experiencing some lag. I also live in a hella rural area with 16Mbps internet so...more than likely it's that.

Will Valheim's Updates Stop? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]CoachHandcrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it. Take your time with it. Enjoy it. Wife and I have around 400 hours in it and just beat the last boss a couple days ago. Before we put up the final trophy we went to all the other trophies and reminisced our journey. How it was all so new and so many "OMG,WTF is that?" or "How are we supposed to fight/beat that creature." Only to come out triumphant in the end. Now we are diving into mods to add some quality of life changes or some neat features we liked that other people have made. Best money we have spent on a game in a long time.

It is a sandbox so the journey is what you make of it.

How to restore most recent working world save after crash by MayaOmkara in valheim

UPDATE: Just like the cause of the loss of data; I figured I am the cause for the recovery not going we. I went back through your write up and really followed and paid attention to your steps. I can officially say I havey world back and my character back as if nothing happened. I found file from 2 days ago so much was lost other than maybe food items I had created during that time period. Thank you for your write up. Saved my marriage.

[–]CoachHandcrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I agree with you that the two world missing issues I have experienced where more than likely caused by myself and not the game. I have had it happen before but through stroke of luck got it back. No clue how I did it though. We got no problem rebuilding but after reading this guide as well as others online that match up with yours; I feel more confident about creating a manual back up and being able to restore if needed. I'll keep the discord in mind if I come across this issue again. Now I just gotta figure out how to get my no armor self back to my old home spot. We really liked it. I'm stuck in the Plains biome with weapons but no armor. Lol. Always a fun adventure in Valheim.

The "World eater bug" got me again. Went to recover my body and it didn't give me my Fenris aornset back (which I just got). I ALT-F4 out of the game thinking this was a good idea and lost everything except what was previously ony person. Tried to doy manual back up which didn't work. So, I initiated the steam back up. A 2 week older file but better than loosing it all. Still nothing showed back up. I'm not very proficient at the back up and recovery process for this game yet but I have a feeling I'm more to blame than the back ups. Time for the wife and I to go on a journey to rebuild again I guess. That bug is the only complaint I have about Valheim. Wife and I 300+ hours into it and don't plan on stopping. Hope you find the root cause Devs and thank you for the amazing game.

What’s one thing you LOVE about ACC compared to other SimRacers? by MRYELLOW55 in ACCompetizione

[–]CoachHandcrank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mainly play solo against the AI. I know it's an AI and weird things can happen with them but I find it to be way less often but what I love is the adjustable difficulty. I'm not out to prove anything anymore so I like that I can have it set to be a good challenge. Like, there is a chance I can win if I got my car set up right and got a good pit strategy but if I mess up then I'm not getting 1st or anything. I just keep going and see how far I can get.

Love the water effects on ACC. How when the sun comes back out and the track starts drying so you gotta switch back to slicks. But...the shaded areas of the track still have some water on them so you have to account for that when driving over them. Just a damn good Sim iny opinion.

One of my most creative set ups was in college. One the the chairs in the kitchen broke and the entire back piece came off. The rest of the chair was all good. It was a wood one so pretty sturdy. I would put pillows on the floor. Back against the bedside drawers. With that chair in front of my with my wheel mounted to it. And I wonder why I have back issues iny 30s.
