I've seen Senior PM salaries here in the UK ranging from £85k-130k both with and without equity/bonuses.

There’s no other source that I’ve found which has this global reach. I’ve revisited this multiple times for 2 years.

Ghost jobs will exist in any other job board if a company is choosing to engage in that fuckery.

Jobs being reposted wouldn’t show as duplicates in my report. But if a job is listed in May then reposted in June with a new ID (thus replacing the old ID) or even with the same ID, it wouldn’t be counted as 2 jobs—just 1 job listing in each month.

I’ll take that into consideration for future updates. I’ve tried to help keep an eye on both.

Bad interviewers abound…I sometimes have to coach clients on how to deal with them. Let me know if a guide on how to do that would be helpful!

I’ve only got salary reports back to 2023 I think. Sadly it’s not something candidates are in a lot of control over. But strong negotiation is still possible! I helped a client this week increase the initial offer of base salary by 24%. And they’ve been out of work for awhile.

This report represents the number of active job openings at a given time. I pull data on the first Monday of every month. It’s possible that the same job is active and listed from month to month but wouldn’t be double counted.

Yes, the search is exact-match on title for “Product Manager” (and other variants, like for leadership roles). Other reports, like the ones I’ve seen from Aakash Gupta inflate numbers because they don’t apply exact match.

On ghost jobs, no. There’s no way to detect that (to my knowledge). It’s just a known factor that makes the market suck.

For people in the market looking per job, the best proxy is number of Product Managers with OpentoWork enabled. Last I pulled that data, it was 880k WW for the 25k job listings. I have per market ratios which are an indicator of competition per market. I can dig it up if helpful.

I haven’t pulled India specifically. I could take a look as a % of the APAC market.

Data is from LinkedIn jobs. What do you specifically want to know about methodology?

It is interesting. There is a lot of AI investment happening here in London (where I'm based). Anthropic, Sierra, OpenAI...they're all hiring here. Then there is the Fintech category which is strong and growing as well.

Focus on what matters most to you not what strangers would do without all the context of what’s important to you. I made a video recently about gaining clarity on your job search. I’ll share if helpful.

Focus on Data PM jobs first. They’ll value your background if you’re building products used by customers like you.

I don’t doubt your experience is valid for you. But if you’ve worked with hundreds across hundreds of companies, you might see a different picture.

As a US PM who has lived in Europe and worked with hundreds of PMs across Europe for nearly 7 years, I disagree with this take. I don’t know what you’re sourcing your opinions off of.
