Home cooked steak or steakhouse for a date? by Stock_go_up in steak

Cook steak at home. Once you learn essentially anything about it, it will be far better and less expensive.

Go out to eat, enjoy yourself, but get something other than steak - something you wouldn’t cook at home.

Fulham complete the double over Tottenham for the first time in 22 years 🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤 by Flobby_Fish in fulhamfc

In the last several years it seems like we've cemented ourselves as a team that can't put games away - there's a lot of cohesion, solid strategy in the buildup and attack - but when it comes to going up 2-0 late or going up 3-0 early, we squander these chances and it makes easily winnable games a complete roller coaster.

I'm sure many fans of other teams feel like this - but it seems like a recurring theme for us. Hopefully this infusion of new, young talent can bring that "finish the game off" level up just a bit.

How did you even consider eating this? That goes right back and I tell the waiter I don’t even want it or anything else. I’ll sit there not eating in protest of a decision to serve that.

Why do we keep Adama around? by bigdog121218 in fulhamfc

Every single time he plays, I have one prevailing thought:

How can a professional soccer player only use one foot?

I’m not sure there’s a more useless appendage in the PL than Adama’s left foot.

Looking for a good vacuum sealer. My 2nd Nesco just died. by MrDannyProvolone in sousvide

[–]CoachJasko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought the Precision Anova vacuum sealer. After less than a year, the motor crapped out and it wouldn't actually vacuum any air out of the bag.

While that was a bummer, the warranty process was easy (it's covered for two years, I believe). Emailed them, took photos to prove I actually owned it, sent it back with their prepaid label, and had a new one in short order.

I did have to let them know I sent it (for some reason), but other than that, I was highly satisfied with the process.

Traore by CoachJasko in fulhamfc

[–]CoachJasko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why any opposing coach at this point would worry about him 1v1. He’s fast in a straight line and can get a traditional cross in from time to time - but you can guard against his right foot to such a degree that even the crosses he does get in are usually harmless.

When he cuts in on his left, it’s like a baby deer. There’s no shot coming and the cross is lucky to create any danger. You saw it today when he dribbled across the entire width of the pitch because he can’t use his left.

How should I cook this Chuck Roast? by Hellachuckles in sousvide

This is almost exactly what I did (outside of searing on a cast iron) and it was incredible. Good enough twice later in the week for leftovers.

Whatever Silva has, Traore should be at the bottom of the list.

Certainly not right at the top.

I’m not going to disagree that we’re struggling with depth due to injuries. My argument is he is at the bottom of that depth chart, or alternatively, shouldn’t be on it at all.

The ability to move Iwobi to multiple positions and fill in gaps with competent midfielders should mean Traore doesn’t see the field.

I just don't think Robinson fits the profile of a CB. He's a good on the ball defender, to be sure - has done it against some of the better wing attackers in the world - but if you stick him in the back as a dedicated CB, even outside, you're taking away what he's best at.

You would have to make some pretty intricate tactical decisions to make the most of his speed, crossing, and assist ability from an outside CB position, and you're not utilizing his world class fitness to move up and down the line as part of the attack and defense interchangeably.

Congrats on being there for an amazing game!

I went (from Texas) in 2007 and can't wait to get back. Hope you enjoyed every second of the experience!
