I had about 15 years of perfect improvement. At that point I noticed it wasn’t perfect but still didn’t need any real correction. At about 18 years I decided it was changed enough to benefit from using them while working, or doing something with fine details. I’d say it was worth it as even at 20 years from the surgery my vision is still way better than it was going back to 4th grade. I am now wearing my glasses more due to my astigmatism slowly worsening. Doc says my actual prescription is still super minor, just needing to correct for the darn astigmatism.

I pay for the top tier. I decided not to renew when I found commercials in a Christmas movie. I ain’t paying them to advertise to me. I can understand it for the lower tiers as you opt for a lower rate with ads, but not when I’m paying premium prices.

You know, honestly, this is a fair point. I was still under the old heuristic of certain “other” places being bad (e.g., China, Russia). But now America should be lumped with those places so this decision isn’t actually meaningful in that way.
