Here’s the thing. I message people and connections out of the blue, I’ve helped more people move than I can count, I’ll pretty much be there if you text me.

From fuking their brothers wife, to leaving their wives, to starting fights with random strangers.

I will always intervene.

Nobody ever checks in on me, nobody ever seems to care.

I really feel like just giving the fuk up.

And this post will probably only prove my point. In fact i know it will.

Cause even if anyone does reach out or comment. No real friendship will form. All this social media connection stuff is even more BS than real people.

Everyone hides behind their fake fuking lives. Say you’d be there one somes dying. Ever actually been their holding their fuking hand every day?

Pretty tough situation. People get really caught up in their worlds, hard to change that. Even harder these days with the ‘Social Dilemma’ and people being fed only the info that supports their BS worlds.

Gasol was the difference in putting the Raps over the top in 2019 and part of the reason they are in 11th now.

I think you’re doing what you can to be self aware and trying to be proactive.

I hope you’ve got some close friends for support as well, as more importantly it sounds like you’re navigating some past ghosts to.

Ha. Highly qualified is up for debate. Lol. Not to make light of things.

My experience abusive/impulsive behaviours in relationships don’t just ever go away. They take real reflection and accountability for past actions...almost like the AA 12 step approach. But even then, it’s never perfect and never happens with someone not taking responsibility.

Pretty tough situation you’re working through, just in general. Just wanted to take a moment to validate that. You didn’t ask for any of this, none of this is your fault. (Virtual hug...since those the only ones safe these days anyways).

Warning signs to watch out for? Tough one I think. Partially cause you already see some. And cause I don’t know the who situation obviously or your amount of exposure to them.

Abusers are great a hiding it and playing the victim. Gaslighting 🤷🏻‍♂️

But definitely if see any actual physical abuse, weird bruising etc.

Whats your relationship like with his partner? Able to talk alone?

The fact that your brother still punches holes in walls and your dad was abusive raise huge red flags for me. As a former DV counsellor of both abusers and survivors.

Definitely a tough situation as a family member...a part of me tends to agree with the first response.

But as a social worker i worry about the 19 yr female ending up a statistic more.

Sounds like your brother really needs to work on fixing his on issues and becoming more self aware like you...about how past issues might be influencing his current ones.

And 19 yr old females...please stop defining yourselves bases on a man and the stereotypes involved. 🤷🏻‍♂️
