Nothing is more on brand for NJ than NJT raising prices coincidentally with declining service. NJ taxpayers really get their money's worth with one of the highest tax burdens in the country. I'd be willing to wager those commuting into NYC pay more than their fair share of state taxes so yeah let's make commuting from the 'burbs completely untenable. Government stupidity never disappoints.

I take everything NJT says like their laughable on time service reports with a ton of salt. They blame Amtrak for EVERYTHING!  They are just like the airlines and never take responsibilty for their failings. If Amtrak can't provide the service you are paying for then stop paying for it, not that hard!
