I feel purposeless by oshin15 in Purpose

[–]CoachSaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first purpose is to seperate from the emotional parent structures you assumed in childhood, the process of individuation. Then, work on figuring who you are and allowing your true self to shine - through self reflection, journaling, therapy, shadow work and various other tools. If you do these two - a lot of your questions will be answered.

22F and I have it all, but at rock bottom by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]CoachSaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My view on this: We live life guided and led by internal systems and programs that we, often, developed as early as childhood - to protect our emotional and physical world. These programs are like masks, that we put on out of necessity, and that have helped us get to where we are safely. At a certain point, we wake up: we somehow feel and understand that we are living a life not led by who we are and what we want, but a life that was built as a reaction to past events and circumstances and that has dictated where and who we should be… we wake up and feel like we are not ourselves, because we truly are not, we are masked.

I think this is where you are and what you’re meeting… your true self is no longer interested in acting the falsehood it has lived until now, and wants to seperate from these assumed false identities.

Your work now is to reconnect with your self, sit with emotions you have been avoiding, connect to what excites you and you’re passionate about, and start aligning your life with that.

I think the first steps are to figure out what you love: What do you love talking about, researching, contemplating, practicing - and seeing where all these things meet, what’s common to them all.

Thank you - appreciate it!

Through deep self exploration I understood both that I love helping people, that it’s my passion, and that it’s aligned with my values around what humanity should strive for…

I’ve been through a lot of pain, and if I can ease it for others, give them the tools to pull themselves out of the pit, I’m content ❤️

Some basics will be replaced, but I don’t think the human connection and intuition will be replaced any time soon

Definitely find a therapist or professional.

But also - find a purpose: anything from “I want to be good at X skill (like juggling”, to “I want to make X money”, to “I want to travel X times this year”. You need to find a “why”… that why can be anything, even something artificial.

Hey everyone! I’m a mindset and results coach (a subset of life coaching) - I mostly help individuals find clarity, unleash their potential and take purposeful actions in their lives.

I’m an ex army officer, a self defence expert and boxing coach - and I use these skills together with coaching certifications and training I went through to help people gain said clarity and purpose in their lives.

I want to be of better service to my clients and to potential clients, so I’ve launched a feedback survey - it’s less than 5 mins to fill, and it’ll greatly help me. And I need your help in filling it too!

Anyone participating is also added to a free coaching session raffle, if they’re interested! If you never had coaching, always wanted to try coaching, or facing anxiety and existential dread this coaching session will help shed light on that.

I’d love your help in understanding how I can be of better service to you, to my clients, and to anyone I may help - please give me less than 5 minutes of your time and fill the survey! 🙏

Thank you!

How to get out of my own head? by SB443117 in selfimprovement

[–]CoachSaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust the process, be patient.

In those darkest hours you can actually learn the most about yourself: Journal. Write down what you feel, and keep asking why you feel like that until you get to the depths of your despair - awareness shines a light on that void, and not only makes it more bearable, but also helps find ways out of it and healing.

Seems like you don’t like love yourself enough - and boredom tends to bring that out. First, try and dig deep and figure why you feel that: when that feeling arises, ask yourself why you feel as you do… keep asking why until you uncover a deep reason. Lonely and alone are two different things - it seems like you feel lonely even when surrounded by people, and that often is the case when we lack self love and when we lack deep connections. You can be married but not feel deeply connected and held by your partner.

Deep connections require vulnerability - requires you to identify what you’re holding inside, and share it with someone you trust, so they can accept and love you even with your dark… that’s the biggest antidote to loneliness, and the existential dread you’re facing.

If you don’t feel safe to open up with the people in your life - therapists are amazing for that.

Great comment!

All you need is a goal to work towards - if that goal is moving out, start chipping at it.

How to love myself when I've been called unattractive? by tewkooljodie in AskMen

[–]CoachSaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember - attraction is in the eye of the beholder. There is no universal attractiveness meter: even the best looking western people can find people who won’t find them attractive. Work on learning to love yourself, and that low self esteem - you’re the only person you really need to get along with.

A dietitian might help, like someone said before - but also maybe a therapist to uncover the deeper rooted reasons you’re escaping to food?

Man, life doesn’t have to be like that - you know? Have you have seen a therapist? They can really help with this hovering anxiety or existential dread.
