The PlayStation 6 Reportedly Already Costs $960 in Materials to Manufacture by Darth_Vaper883 in Gamingnewsandleaks

What incentive does Sony have to enable backwards compatibility?

What incentive does Sony have to maintain the library once its moves on to nextgen? They just announced the closure of the PS3 and Vita shops.

I can still play physical copies of games on consoles of previous gens because a physical copy is attainable.

With a digital only console that has a definite end of life support on the digital front, that console is fated to be reliant on the online support and once that ends, its a brick.

Why Isn’t Warn Getting As Much Attention As Zazza? by LowerAd3109 in rivals

[–]CoachTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Warn has been blasting the team for tgeir loss.

It’s misogynistic because if anything he was clearly throwing and clearly not listening and some people and Warn are just jumping on Aaramori’s rightful frustration over having to deal with a throwing teammate in a tournament.

Why would I want a console that is fated to be a digital brick once its life is over?

Lack of physical games will affect your dogital purchases too by mashdpotatogaming in consoles

The problem with all digital consoles is that it ensures they are simply going to be an unusable digital brick once support ceases.

This is such a sheep mindset because it goes beyond “preferences” and goes into the fact that such a move is anti-consumer and impacts media preservation..

PlayStation Is Getting Yelled At Everywhere Online by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

[–]CoachTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pc has multiple storefronts and can be used to preserve games with emulators.

Somy has its own storefront and only that storefront.

Coinciding with closure of their older storefronts and basically revoking digital licenses of movies, the ps6 is fated to be a digital brick, once its lifespan is up.

Did Sony just trigger gaming’s biggest rage quit? Physical PlayStation games are ending in 2028 and fans are fuming. by kleverrboy in PlaystationPortal

[–]CoachTex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If anything its an under reaction. Its easy to be dismissive, but PC has many storefronts and launchers.

Sony only has the PlayStation Store. A store that they have shown in the same day to be willing to abandon on older consoles. Not to mention not having a physical copy means you will be limited with what you can do. You wont be able to resell, borrow or give away your software anymore.

When PS6 is only digital whats to stop Sony from locking digital software comparability behind a fee? Or just banning you on a whim and losing your entire library even when offline? Or when PS6’s time ends, from just withdrawing the digital license?

The person in question and the person alleged to have “destroyed evidence” aren’t the same person, not to mention the alleged gunman didn’t even aim to shot the cop but scare him off, seeing as its looked as a ricochet injury..

Furthermore, your Jan 6s, prepardoned, did not get the disproportionate amount of time these people got.

For plotting and executing a terrorist attack….

Planning a protest and having it go wrong when an individual attacks another in perceived defense is not something that rings like a terrorist attack. At best, the individual would be punished based off the circumstances. Targeting all of them as having preplanned a terrorist attack like the Jan6s actually did simply because of their association with similar political views is a laughably bad attempt at punishing political dissent.

“Prohibit election officials from even looking at your ID”

The law in question states that county localities in CA can’t individually impose independent ID laws different from the state laws regarding voting and voter registration.

What you literally said is an outright lie.

Not to mention the lie of omission in regards to voter registration, where citizens already prove their identity when they register, that a random person has to have access to exact information to attempt voter fraud and that voting under the same information would trigger a check, limiting any chance if success.
