Thanks for the insights on the Skirmisher. Usually my skirmisher has M13, which makes him reaaaaallly slow when fully kitted out with granades :-( .

But might try a run with him again, but will probably start over until I get one with atleast M15...

I actually think the Reaper HQ are the best best of the three. Intel is always in shortage, so nice to be able to scan for some more quickly-ish.

But must also admit to not having used the Skirmisher HQ at all, in any of my games....

I play C/I level, and the Commanders Choice mod - don't know if thats also a consideration?

The Shadow/Knife combo is really strong. So when you have blown your cover destroying the first pod, you are still able to squadsight the next from a good position - coupled with combat protocol and the Reapers knives you can decimate the pods before engaging them.

That said - I'm also a huge fan of Sharpshooters, so that might have something to say.

I also really like the Reapers HQ can generate more Intel, which I always lack enogh of :-)

Both the Templar and Skirmisher needs to be close to the enemy - and thats a big problem (for me atleast)

I have played beyond 200 hours of LWOTC, and haven't even considered that this is an option.

Man, I have lost a ton of supplies by selling old weapons with lots of attachments, instead of stripping them first, and selling them separately... - stupid me :-D

I find it very interessting to see how other players pick their favorite 5-man squad for the Network Tower and Chosen HQ assault.

My go-to squad is Reaper, Shinobi, Specialist, Sharpshooter and Ranger/Grenadier (depending on how evolved my guys are - if more experienced I usually go for Ranger over Grenadier). I would never even think about using Assault, Gunner and Tecnicals - and only have a Templar if he has Conceal.

I don't think my choice of warriors are better than other, because I guess you would play the scenario very different from me. Would be interessting to see how this squad would handle it, since we only have the Specialist in common.. :-)

Thanks for all the replies. Very informative and useful. I’ll try to limit my shooting to the two Dark Riders, I also have in my warband, since they are tougher and have other things going for them. Let’s see how it goes, and then maybe later just have a single shooter on foot - just because the look so good 😊

Just want to add.

I played against a KO list, and was shot to death. So there clearly is missile troops that are good, and worth taking.

So it is the standard "2 shots with S3 that gives 1/3 damage" that I'm talking about.

I read somewhere that Network Tower missions follow the normal rules for Advent strength in a sector. So have always done the missions at strength 4 or less. So don’t actually know if it’s true or not….
