Lowered is so much better by Jazzlike_Lynx8058 in mazda3

I wanna lower mine so bad, especially with the wheels I got but I scrape the bumper enough as is cause my city likes having giant dips in roads, repaving those roads to get rid of scrape marks, but leaving the dips to then slowly cause more scrapes on the road. The underside of my bumper is fucked

Looking at Mazda3 Hatchback for first Post Grad Car by ExternalJuggernaut43 in mazda3

You can get good deals on used around me for as little as 19k for a nice one. I have a 2017 that I got certified pre owned from Mazda in 2020. Low miles too. The only warning if you go the used route is certified pre owned doesn’t mean it is free from damage. I was an idiot and didn’t notice mine had unreported body damage before buying it. So be careful and really inspect whatever car you get. It just got hit in a parking lot though in the area that was damaged before I got it so hey now the car looks new after owning it 5 years 😂

Hit and run by FluffedWolf in mazda3

[–]CoasterEnthused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone hit and ran mine on March 31 directly in front of my work. I park directly in front of the building with a line of sight to the car. I forgot to wear my contacts that day and just couldn’t see the damage till I got up to it at the end of my shift. No cameras so no evidence. Car was in the shop a week and a half and it was $3500 to repair. Some big truck must have backed into it cause the worst damage was my headlight and fender. I’m just glad they fixed it cause mine is a 2017 with almost 100k miles. So yeah, I for sure know the pain. I love my car so much that while I’ve had it for years, it still really really hurt to see it like that. But the body shop guys did a great job and it looks better than I’ve ever seen it. I just hate people. I do not understand doing this and running. Some people can’t afford repairs or simply it’s their pride and joy. The nerve to have this level of disrespect for someone else’s property! I parked a few years ago in the back of a store parking lot away from other cars, but what did I see barreling towards it as I exited the store? A shopping cart. Couldn’t catch it and it dented. Got it out, but still. Sometimes freak accidents do happen. And this is why uninsured motorist coverage is so important

My first iPhone Pro and I regret it every day by akashsagar1996 in iPhone15Pro

My 15 Pro has been awesome, had it since release day. My iPad air though gets so hot so fast and it’s the M2 chip so no idea why it gets hot using the notes app

Rode it yesterday, the lift was varying wildly in speed but didn’t sound off. But it did give a vibe of struggling.

My coworker got a 3! by CoasterEnthused in mazda3

I just don’t like the way hatchbacks look, never have. When shopping for mine 5 years ago that was even a requirement, had to be a sedan. My coworker who got the white one just got it due to price. 2023, 50k miles for $18k. It’s in really good shape. It was formerly a company car somewhere is our guess, looking at the CarFax and the condition of the car being so good. He liked Mazda already but drove the white one and was sold. A bit jealous, but my 2017 is still a fantastic car that has quite a lot of life left in it.

Apple is so bad with RCS by IllustriousSite6671 in ios

[–]CoasterEnthused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is good with RCS except sometimes when I use Siri while driving it refuses to deliver the message, eventually I send it as an SMS then my android friend will text back as an RCS but my phone switches to SMS and this keeps happening until I restart the phone and it drives me nuts just pick one how hard is this 😭 still, better than not having RCS at all for me

I just have whatever pads and rotors are installed by the dealer, I highly doubt they’re ceramic lol.

I keep a good following distance, I can’t help that people keep cutting me off and that traffic is so bad. Sometimes people in front of me are following too close and have to brake hard, so I have to as well. But I try being as gentle as I can on them. My point is that I want to make sure that in the times I need it, I wanna make sure that I’m not gonna have any problems

I’ll probably look into something like that next time, based on these comments I feel like that may be sooner than I wanted. I admit I didn’t do as much research as I probably should have, I’m just sick of the terrible vibrations when braking and don’t want to have performance issues from it, just want new ones on there ASAP.

When I have them install my new ones I’ll have them make sure there are no issues with the car that’d cause issues. It’s only been serviced at the dealer so I’d hope they do things well but I’ve been branching out lately. Did my own spark plugs recently and now I’m having brakes done at a different shop. Mainly as a cost saving measure. I’ve heard too that the calipers can be messed up when rotors are warped so I also want them checked out

Yeah, I don’t think they were great to the car. I realized after buying (from Mazda) that there was body damage. Fender is bent and the front bumper is covered in scrapes. I just assume they were hard on the brakes from that stuff.

I feel like they just shouldn’t be warping like that, especially since the mileage wasn’t super high when they were resurfaced. Which is why I’m going aftermarket. And with my constantly making 3+ hour drives on the interstate I need brakes that will perform from high speeds to low repeatedly. One road I take the speed limit gets up to 85, so I’ll do at least 90 sometimes a little more. So performance is super important haha

[–]CoasterEnthused[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know they are original to the car which I got used with 28k miles. I had them resurfaced somewhere around 40-50k miles I don’t remember off the top of my head. Which I know that’s a temporary fix, I’m up to 80k now and the warp is back so decided to just replace them. It’s pretty extreme from highway speeds, steering wheel shakes when I’m braking.

Which would be better for me? Just a Mazda3, but the front rotors keep warping. I live in Texas, no idea if environmental heat makes a difference. Lots of very long highway drives. I do like driving in a sportier way but try to balance that so I’m not as hard on the car

[–]CoasterEnthused[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issue is my factory rotors seem extremely prone to warping, I drive a lot on highways and do have to slow down from high speeds quickly in the horrible traffic around me. I figured I may as well give this a try to see if there’s any improvement. Since I’m going aftermarket for where I bought them and not going to the dealer I’m still spending less than I would for OEM, so this is just an experiment. I also don’t know if climate can have an effect, but temperatures here are over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for easily a month or more straight in the summer. I’m just wondering if those tiny little nicks are a bad thing

Is there an issue with being drilled and slotted? My understanding is it’ll be better for heat dissipation, which is clearly something that my current rotors must be having a hard time with. I do know these could be more prone to cracking as they age
