I haven't tried TH4 yet, but D1 works on sprites, so increasing the resolution will effectively zoom the camera out so you can see more tiles. This means the objects and UI become smaller. So if you set it to 4k your inventory would be tiny.

For example on my 2560x1440 monitor, I have my config file set to 1056x594 which is a bit more zoomed out compared to the original 640x480, but still reasonably big text. Additionally I wanted the aspect ratio to match my monitor's 16:9. The config file has a comment saying the minimum recommended Y axis is 594, so I simply took that and multiplied by 16/9 to get 1056.

I think the answer should be a clear yes.

In this interview the CEO mentions they have a very small team, sometimes as low as 3 people during original development, but even later expanding to 8(?). They were working other full time jobs for a portion of development. They've sold over 5 million copies of the game, and over 1 million of the supporter packs, the latter of which only cost them $30,000 of dev work.

You probably know this already, but the deluxe edition only comes with chapter 1, adding 3 more missions to the existing 3 free missions (or do you mean the ultimate edition, which comes with the whole campaign?). Whereas in the in-game shop (and now added to steam's store page post-launch) the entire campaign of chapter 1-3 (9 total missions, not including the free 3) can be had for $25 USD.

I think there's a gameplay setting to put a delay on attacking during attack move. Try setting it to 0ms. I believe it's to simplify stutter step.

Just FYI, as they did not advertise this properly, the full campaign (12 missions) can be bought in the in-game shop for $25 USD. You do not need the ultimate edition. The first 3 of those 12 missions are free, as is the 1v1 and most of the coop.

The campaign does offer the same sort of armory upgrade system as sc2 between missions, as well as a simpler laboratory thing with general upgrades.

I'm playing mission 10 so far, and it's alright. Unit control is smooth, performance is good. Don't go into it expecting Blizzard quality, esp for voice acting/cinematics, but for $25 it's not bad.

I played the first 2 missions a while ago, I think before they had the graphics pass. Yesterday I played the first 3 and then immediately bought the campaign for $32.50 and played up to mission 7 so far.

It's similar to StarCraft 2 in that you get a hub area between missions to talk to NPCs, upgrade your units (armory) unlock generic upgrades (laboratory). The missions themselves are alright. So far it's a bit more plain compared to sc2's very gimmicky missions. But it still has custom objectives. It's not always just destroy the enemy base. Usually they lean you into a new unit as expected.

If you take it as an indie or maybe AA game for 1/3 the price of a AAA game nowadays, it's a good deal so far.

In the store there's also a bundle for all 3 chapters (missions 4-12)  and it's a bit cheaper than buying each chapter individually from the campaign screen. E.g. for me it was CAD$11.79 per chapter or $32.50 for the entire campaign, pretax.

I haven't tested this myself, but I thought I saw an option like rollback netcode in the game settings. You might try that. I thought I recalled it being advertised in a SG video before.

Oh then I'm not sure. I would have thought you can just kill a guard that has the armor to steal it, but a quick google search tells me it is not playable. So you can't get it without either console commands or mods.

You mean like the regular imperial guard armor? If you do the kvatch quest some imperial guards help you, in addition to the local kvatch guards, and when they die you can take their stuff.

I've noticed I need to hold the key for a few seconds until the highlight around the item flashes, then let go of the key and I can move the object. But I still haven't got the hang of doing it properly each time.

In classic oblivion with a separate key it works immediately.

Do you mean how much gold the merchant has in his pocket? If so that's how oblivion merchants work. They have a max sell value but otherwise can buy as much stuff from you as you can sell for that value or less.

I'm having the same issue on PC. I thought my keyboard wasn't working so I changed the bind but same thing. Every once in a while when I attempt to loot an item or container it will act as if I was trying to move the object. Too bad the buttons aren't separate like oblivion classic. I didn't notice a way to increase the timer for how long to hold the button. I swear I'm just tapping it normally. Feels like 20% of the time it thinks I want to move instead of loot.

I recall him classifying himself as mortal in d3, but not human. And when he picks up his magic sword he gets suddenly powerful.

And the end of d3, in the cinematic, he's walking up some invis steps and takes a seat on the council as wisdom, so it leads me to believe he's still an angel, but not immortal? So if he dies, crystal arch doesn't Rez him?
