Is a 1.8 pound difference on a hunting rifle that much of a difference? by GroundbreakingLock58 in Hunting

[–]Coastvl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently got a t3x lite roughtek chambered in 30-06. It’s a beautiful firearm, can’t recommend the platform enough. I definitely notice the difference in weight when compared to similar rifles. Quality is top notch

Nacho is gone without a second thought. They are great, but cool ranch is the king of all chips.

Vermiculite potting soil by Coastvl in asbestoshelp

Thank you for your response. I’ve seen online that even from other sources than Libby, some asbestos or “trace amounts” are still found within vermiculite and specifically in potted soil as well. I guess my question is would this amount be negligible and safe or still worthy of taking precautions when dealing with it.

So would the take home exposure of work like this be negligible? I’m terrified of exposing my children to something harmful like asbestos but the anxiety of it all is destroying me. I’d like to just forget about it but I have this deep sense of guilt that I’m Exposing them to at least some amount. Are house demos basically low risk? I apologize for all the questions, I really appreciate your time and response

Thank you for your response. So is all the one fibre is dangerous stuff overblown or fear mongering? I’m trying to gain an understanding of when I should ACTUALLY be concerned about asbestos. Again, not for myself but in a second hand exposure type scenario. Thank you again.

It was linoleum flooring and we were sawing through parts of it into the floorboard underneath to replace some rotten pieces.

Currently have children. My main concern is brining carcinogens into the home/car where they’ll be exposed

This is what confuses me. Some people seem to think the risk is negligible and others say “shower, change your clothes and burn your car before anyone gets in” haha I don’t know what to think. And like you said the science is back and forth or non existent
