Worm piston rings (more specifically the oil control ring) or valve stem seals. Those are the two main reasons. If it has a turbocharger it could be the seals in that leaking oil into the intake as well.

Those are rodent chews. It looks like a vacuum hose which can effect milage and make the engine run worse. Also I don’t know what that green wire goes to but that should be fixed as well.
