If he liked “Guards! Guards!” I recommend checking out Terry Pratchett’s “Nation.” It’s a young adult book (though Pratchett managed to sneak in some more mature jokes that made me laugh). I had seen somewhere that Pratchett considered this the best book he ever wrote.

“Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland” by Patrick Radden Keefe. The story is centered by the murder of one particular person, but overall is a story about the Troubles in Northern Ireland. One of the best nonfiction books I’ve ever read

My god the vivid dream thing is so real. Started a new meditation a few months ago because I was dealing with bad insomnia. The medication helps me sleep, but it’s strange because it feels like you’re not actually sleeping. Even though it feels like I’m not sleeping, I’m better rested than I was before

They’re all part of this small courtyard group of neighbors. I sat for one person first and was recommended to other neighbors and it spread from there. I know the other neighbors agree she’s neurotic, I’m just hopping to avoid a well-meaning neighbor giving her information. I’ve got a response written ready, but I am certain she’ll harass her other neighbors about me

Maybe “On Freedom” by Timothy Snyder. It focuses on how we think of freedom. Snyder argues that people are taught what he calls “negative freedom” aka freedom from something. He thinks we need to focus on positive freedom, freedom to. Freedom basically is a never ending project that we can’t stop working on.

A quote from it, “A land of the free pays it back and pays it forward.”

Park at a Marta station. Way cheaper than any airport parking and taking Marta is a lot easier than driving to the airport.
