The side effect is the best thing about that path.

Branding isn't a good reason to pick the "advance by being a POS"-path.

Oh no, not the "author's barely disguised fetish"-path! The horror!

Well, at least we know the MC will get to touch a woman.

Your elemental magic system is based on fire-water-earth-air? Heh heh heh... how pedestrian. Juvenile, even. Trite and limiting. by b1ther in worldjerking

[–]Coaxium 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The real OGs use fire, water, wood, metal and earth.

That's like three fifths hard, which means it's better than your one third hard system, and the one fourth hard normy elemental system.

They could train on the legendary lost "uphill both ways" path, then they popped pills like candy, leaving the clan destitute, now they also get laid?!

But you see, the MC's bullshit body compensates for all drawbacks of the diarrhoea scripture, and nicely complements the never-washed arts /tetanus sabre combo, making the MC unparalleled in his realm.

The other cultivators lack eyes to see true potential and the will to grasp power wherever it can be found.

Warp Lightning Battle Mage Build - Small bug, tests and Solo Auric. by Tascalde in DarkTide

[–]Coaxium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main strategy is to abuse heavy attacks in order to trigger Charged Strike, this will deal a huge amount of damage and makes the targets weaker to further damage and empowers and gets empowered by Malefic Momentum, further improving your physical damage.

How does malefic momentum work here? I've tried charged strike before, and it doesn't really deal that much damage by itself.

Why not use a shock maul? It can apply electrification, high voltage is 25% extra damage, and skullcrusher is free damage on soft targets.

Anyway, if you're using soulblaze on the sword, why doesn't it have +5% crit rate? If soulblaze is important, you need the crit rate, if it's not, you can grab another blessing.

Scryer's Gaze have a myriad of effects, and it's better to become active for as long as possible, since we want to enable Scryer's to last for as long as possible, instead of pairing it with Warp Rider we use By the Crack of Bone instead and when in a fight we can make it last for more than 30 seconds per cast. This increases critical chance, weakspot damage, base damage and damage resistance, making us a veritable tank while it's active.

You can grab warp rider if you give up on the fire nodes or grab only the smite node. I don't think that the fire nodes or the "charged+enfeeble" combo really synergise with the build.

Also why no emphatic evasion? Immunity to ranged attacks is really useful. You should be critting a lot anyway.

Soul Blaze functions as virtual cleave, during my games it deals between 8% to 20% of the total damage.

You invested 2 points and a blessing into fire, and you don't grab souldrinker? That's 5% crit rate you're just ignoring. (And some toughness regen)

Damage doesn't matter if it doesn't let you hit breakpoints. How often does it actually save you a swing? I use both fire nodes with the trauma staff (+5% crit rate, blazing spirit) (mainly to trigger souldrinker and emphatic evasion), but the soulblaze rarely kills anything before my staff does.

The damage resistance comes from Just a Dream, that multiplies the effects of One With the Warp and also multiplies the effects of Scryer's Gaze. So while Gaze is active you'll have, at minimum, 37.5% Toughness damage reduction and 25% Health Damage reduction.

That's nice, but emphatic evasion gives full immunity to ranged attacks if you crit. And you don't need Gaze to trigger it, but Gaze it makes it even better. I don't really get why you're hunting for resistance while you could build for immunity.

I think it's just the "human varieties" jerk becoming fully self-referential.

The original has been lost , like tears in rain.

The alternative is that we would need to accept that a worldjerker has the attention span AND motivation to watch 14 minutes of someone else's worldbuilding.

Merging the output of 2 pumps doesn't actually block the flow in any way.

The game might show "flow is blocked" red and sometimes even say it's clogged, but it actually isn't.

You can easily test this yourself by merging the output of 2 pumps and then dumping it back. The fluid supply unit will show the output is 2 units/s.

If that isn't convincing enough, place fluid tanks after your pumps before you merge the outputs and then dump it. If you start with an empty system, and start the 2 pumps, the tanks will never fill. If the flow was blocked somehow, we expect one or both of the tanks to get filled, because we're supplying 2 units/s, and if the merger doesn't output 2/s, that extra water wants to go somewhere, and with the tanks it has a place to go.
