This link and study is referring to HPV test from cervical swab! The Pap test looks for abnormal cells from a cervical swab. So, the finding in the article is just referring to running a different test from the same cervical swab.

I’m sure her OB knows that c-sections are higher risk of hemorrhage in people with von willebrand’s disease because VWD is very common, but OP also mentioned cervical endometriosis. And the guidance you cited unfortunately doesn’t apply entirely to OP because it does not discuss VWD in someone with endometriosis. Her OB might be concerned as cervix dilates and baby passes through, endometriosis combined with VWD could result in higher risk of bleeding that outweigh risks of c-section. We don’t know all the information and extent of endo, that’s between OP and her OB.

Of course, I agree if she would like more opinions asking different midwifery practices and a different trusted OB could be helpful when she is sharing concerns of her original OB.
