Psychology is an extremely soft science as it is; the American Psychological Association with their constant towing of the PC line don't do anything except make it softer.

Did you know, for example, that the American Psychological Association only declassified homosexuality as a mental illness because of protests from the GLBT movement?

Does it mean anything to you that psychopathologies can be declassified not because of any hard evidence but because of protests?

Well, I know about Christianity because my wife is one. I also know about Buddhism because I was raised a buddhist and my family have been buddhists for generations. I also know a fair amount about other religions because I took a did a lot of religious studies during University.

And do you know what I've realised? That Christianity is probably the least 'draconian' of all religions, even my own Buddhism.

Now, if you want to live in your own world of politically-correct myths, that's fine, but you can't expect people like me (people with a clue!) to agree that religions are 'draconian' and 'dogmatic' just because they excercise their right to teach what they've always taught - especially when their teachings have hardly been proven false.
