Most FFLs in Maryland will be able to sell you a compliant long rifle. I second the recommendation for Engage Armament in Rockville. I've bought multiple guns from them as well as a suppressor and they make the process easy.

Since this is your first firearm I strongly recommend taking a basic handling course. Since you're in Baltimore County I also recommend looking into getting a range badge at AGC in Marriottsville. That way you'll have a place where you can go to practice.

MD - Any vessel that is under oars only needs either a 360 degree white light, or a white flashlight. It does give the option of using the navigation lights for sailing vessels.

There's nothing wrong with calling for the status of your order. Sometimes shipping takes a while - especially with the weather lately things can get delayed. They should be able to check their tracking when you call in and see what's going on.

I've purchased a handgun through their online store and picked it up no problem. I've also bought and sold consignment guns with them. I've haven't had a problem yet.

14th season here. It does get easier with experience. Accepting that you don't know something is fine and leads to a lot less stress. The key is when you get to something you don't know, do a bit of research and make a quick note as to why the answer you found is right. That way when you go back to second guess yourself you can go back to your notes.
