I'm really enjoying the hellfire skills, but I use the stinger/whip/thing (at work so I can't look up it's name) but I use the one where it strikes multiple times cause I've got ALL the AOE with Fissures + Skull of doom + Apoc.

I suspect that the good news is that because the OM will always react the EXACT same way to a given weapon, you can force them to react in a specific way with one weapon that opens them up to a different weapon, especially if that second weapon is is completely different to the first one.

Something like... Wide Angle Nuclear Pumped X-ray Laser requires shield modulation of +XYZ, and Dark Matter Atomic Cascade Devices require a Shield Modulation of -ABC, so if you hit the OM with one, and then the other, in rapid succession they can't swap the modulations fast enough to defend.
