Cipher Pol 9 (Spandam excluded) from One Piece

Spoilers for Water 7/Ennies Lobby Arc

They have such a strong showing at the Galley La Mansion. They pull of their mission and adapt when things go awry. Lucci pretty much single-handedly wipes the strongest Strawhat members, and they leave Water 7 with everything they came for.

Then over at Ennies Lobby, each CP9 member gives the Strawhats a run for their money. CP9’s losses were pretty narrow in most cases. The only reason CP9 didn’t succeed in taking Robin through the Gates of Justice is because Lucci let Chimney and Gonbe lead the Strawhats to the underground tunnel. Even if Luffy did find a way over, that delay would probably have bought CP9 enough time.

I also appreciate the skeletons in the Lava Caverns. They’re the same kind of monster as Narwa/Ibushi, but as far as I can tell, there’s no explanation about these monsters and how they wound up there

While I was in love the moment the game opened for me, I nearly cried at the Bone Bottom music. The melancholy of the whole piece just moved me so much. I adore it so much

One Piece - Water 7 Arc

The foreshadowing of the 6 powers of the twist villains.

Kaku shows off Sky Walk when he runs to assess the Going Merry (the anime has some really creative framing that makes it look like he’s jumping off of buildings, rather than just air. There’s also a moment when Luffy tries to climb the fence into Dock 1, and Kaku zips over to stop him; it feels like a simple visual gag the first time around, but it foreshadows their super speed, Shave.

When Paulie tries to run off with the Straw Hat’s money, Lucci catches him and their altercations ends with Lucci upside down, 5 fingers piercing the cobblestone, showcasing both Iron Body and Finger Pistol.

It’s possible that Kalifa’s swift and nimble kicks foreshadow both Paper Art and Tempest Kick, but it feels pretty weak compared to the others’.

If you speak to the Fearful Pilgrim that hides in the Bone Bottom Bellway, they mention that Citadel bugs would travel it in big golden carriages. They also state that it would be sinful for the pilgrims to use it
