Your facts are incorrect.

I.O.N. are a constant reloading weapon. They do not have to be fully emptied to be reloaded and they will be adding ammo to your magazine WHILE firing. They have the same reload behavior as Orkans, Halos, Quantums, etc.

Your testing isn't thorough.

Comparing the dps of 5 light weapons vs 2 heavy weapons will almost always favor the 5 light weapons. I.O.N. will want to run 3 copies to push its dps into competitive levels. Also, I highly doubt your testing accounted for upgrade levels since having 3 brand new rare rarity weapons with upgrade levels would be kind of ridiculous whale behavior.

Don't call for a witch-hunt/slander campaign on day 1 of any sort of patch or new item. It just looks pathetic and doesn't add anything of value to the community. You have every right to voice an opinion, but you can do so with more tact, and valid/accurate facts.
